Magic Journeys

OK, so I just heard this track:

Walt Disney World - EPCOT - futureworld - journey into imagination - magic journeys - full show

Now, this show sounds vaguely familiar... I don't know how long it ran or when it debuted/ended, but it sounds downright freaking CREEPY... I don't know if it sounds familiar because I've heard it on here, or because I saw the show as a kid and it gave me night terrors!

Please, someone who saw the show, tell me it wasn't nearly as creepy/psychadelic as it sounds... that singing is almost chanting...

Magic Journeys

This is the 3D movie that was in the Magic Eye theater before Captain Eo. It's actually from Epcot before it came to Disneyland.

It's got a nice little song in there. The audio can be really creepy without the visuals.

When I hear it, it reminds me of sitting on the deck of the Disney Magic because it came on my mp3 player while I was relaxing up there by the adults-only pool. In that setting it was very nice.

Ahh, I'll bet i did see it as a kid, but at Disneyland. That makes more sense, since my first trip to WDW was in, like, 1991 or 1992...

I vaguely remember the show. As a kid, I was horrified and all I can really remember are kids falling off a giant magicians hat. I never saw EO, but did get to see a computer version. That was seriously bizarre. Maybe you had to be there.
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

I remeber liking EO a lot more. I always thought Magic Journeys was creepy as a kid. The whole thing was like some kind of psycodelic trip, in 3-D no less. I never really liked the song either.

You have to remember, back when EO was made, no one had any idea about Jackson's penchant for young males. He was still the "King of Pop" and exuded cool... the effects were awesome, the little alien crew were cute as hell (some of them), and Anjelica Huston was one mean bitch.

Pardon my French, but it's true! EO was awesome in its time.

When Captain Eo was playing at Disneyland, we went to see it pretty much every visit to the park. It's always been a highlight, but I thank the George Lucas involvement more than the Michael Jackson involvement.

Hey hey now! He's an ALLEGED molester. heh...

I never got a chance to watch the EO show. Was it as cute as it sounds? Was the 3D effects pretty cool, or is the show only memorable due to the man who likes young boys. Er...I mean man who is ALLEGED to like young boys.

I don't remember where I found it, but I was able to find the video online. Of course it's not 3-d but you can still see everything very clearly. You could try looking for it.
