I have a new AP! Think I can get a few more meals in before the end of the month?

Seriously, it's the best $50 I ever spent. I've used it on 4 trips in the 13 months it's been valid. I didn't keep a tabulation of how much we saved in meal costs but I'm estimating we saved approximately $600 -$700 (net of the $50 cost) on all of our meals!

I can't recommend purchasing this card highly enough!

What is DDE? And why does an AP only cost $50? And how is an annual pass 13 months? I'm so confused :(

DDE = Disney Dining Experience. It's a discount dining program formerly only available to Florida residents, but released to Annual Pass holders last year. You pay a fee and then you're entitled to save 20% on your meal cost at all sit down establishments and some counter service (those being mostly at the Value/Moderate food courts). The AP didn't cost $50 - the DDE card did. Normally they're good for 12 months, but I got lucky and received a card with an expiration date 13 months from the time I purchased! :D

If you pre-purchase the AP with the voucher, can you buy the DE upon arrival. Ive got the free dining this Aug, so wouldn't be needed this trip.

Thanks for reminding me. I need to order this for our November trip! I purchased the AP in May.

So you have to have an AP to buy the DDE card? In otherwords you can't just buy the DDE card if you're Joe-Schmo like me? 20% is a lot but I mean you'd think that'd be included without additional cost to AP holders who shell out that money. Although then again most AP holders make their money back through numerous visits so I don't know.

20% is like paying for the tip at sitdowns

You have to either be a FL resident or an AP holder - the fee was small in terms of the 20% savings for all of our sit down meals last June - our subsequent trips in December, January and this month were added savings bonuses! :D
