1) Rumors from Epcot: the Wonders of Life pavilion might not be dead yet. We've been hearing rumors that it may reopen this summer because they are expecting crowds at WDW to be higher than they have been in years, and it may be reopened to absorb some of these guests. This is not official or confirmed, and we do not know the condition of the pavilion. Rumors have said that Body Wars has been removed already, that things have been gutted, but again these are not confirmed. We do know that the pavilion has been used for some special events and cast member things. It will be interesting to see if it reappears on park maps and if it is reopened in some form this summer.
One thing that has been rumored is that Wonders of Life is that the pavilion may be rethemed to a weather theme. This has been whispered about for a while, along with the possibility of DuPont taking over the pavilion. Not so sure that hurricanes would be a good topic for Florida, though.
2) Dreamfinder returning rumors are still gaining steam. Redoing Journey into Your Imagination (for it's fourth incarnation) is supposedly a priority and would be one of John Lasseter's first things to do as Principal Creative Adviser, and to bring back things including The Dreamfinder. We don't know if John Lasseter would have the power or desire to return Dreamfinder to the attraction. Rumors also are swirling that there are plans to finally reopen the upper level of the pavilion, to tie into the twenty-fifth anniversary of Epcot, and possibly some changes will be made to the post show. We definitely feel that Imagination is due for some sort of rehab.
3) Continuing rumors that the movie in Soarin' is going to change after the Happiest Celebration on Earth is over. There is talk of Soarin' over Florida, or Soarin' over the World, or even Soarin' over Walt Disney World. It can be argued that since Soarin' is hugely popular and less than two years old, there is no need to change the movie so soon. On the other hand, changing the movie would give people a reason to ride the Soarin' over California attraction at Disney's California Adventure.
4) Pirate Mania running even wilder: rumor is that Bob Iger has been listening to Nathan. We're hearing Disney is looking to expand Pirates of the Caribbean into other areas outside the theme parks. There had been rumors of a Pirates themed water park, possibly going into River Country or another area of the park. This new rumor is that they may be adding a Pirate themed restaurant and ‘dark attraction' to Pleasure Island. This would fit with the work they are currently doing to make Pleasure Island and all Downtown Disney more family-friendly, as well as coincide with the 40th anniversary of Pirates of the Caribbean.
5) Speculation that an Incredibles attraction may be on the horizon. There have been rumors, we mentioned a while back, of it going into the building that formerly housed The Timekeeper, although recent blueprints and other rumors have that space becoming a Monsters, Inc. attraction. Rumors are that if The Incredibles are not going into Tomorrowland, they will definitely be going into Disney-MGM Studios. Possible locations: possibly in Soundstage One, possibly in the Who Wants to be a Millionaire – Play It building, or possibly in the area behind Al's Toy Barn. There have been some cranes spotted and tree clearing going on behind the Toy Barn, but sources say that it is only routine maintenance going on there. An Incredibles attraction would be a good fit, especially with the recent marriage of Disney and Pixar, we'll just have to wait and see.
