I've been watching Washington D.C.'s panda cam for awhile now, and little Tai Shan is the cutest thing you'll ever see! Click the link below to see the ten month old cub.

It seems like Disney has a good relationship with China, so would it be possible for them to get a giant panda? The ones in D.C. are on loan, and Animal Kingdom could do the same type of thing. It would be a huge boost for the Asia section and everyone loves pandas!

It's entirely possible that the Animal Kingdom slogan... Nahtazu... would preclude them from bringing that kind of "attraction" to the park, even on a limited-time basis. If they're serious about not being a zoo (and who the heck knows what Disney mucketymucks are *actually* serious about these days?) then they should shy away from zoo-type exhibits.

See, I think this might be a huge draw, even with the Nahtazu slogan. I'm sure Disney could find a creative way to spin it.

I had forgotten about the Nahtazu slogan. Still, they do have the trails where we can see animals and monkey island (some of the spider monkeys came from my home here in MN!), so I think it could be done. Of course they would have to create quite the habitat for them, but this is Disney and they're experts at such things!
Maybe they could use pandas to help their conservation cause?

wait, there are live animals in Animal Kingdom, but they still say its Nahtazu? What do they call it? An Animal Preserve?

I did a report last night on the giant panda and there are only 1700 of them left on earth....so sad. I think that animal kingdom is still better than a zoo, like the hogle zoo in salt lake city, utah.
