Fountain Of Nations

Post by Cheshire Cat » May Mon 01, 2006 2:57 pm

On my calender, the month of May has a picture of the Fountain of Nations, and I was just curious, what is everyone's favorite performance. Mine is Day One 'cause I love the music and I like when it shoots water out around the fountain really fast while changing colors

My favorite performance is Standing In Motion. But I'm biased because that's also my favorite song of those.

Oh, and "Welcome Home."

I picked Day One, but I like all of them. It's amazing how many people don't even know the fountain performs. I often keep an eye on my watch when I am nearby so I can catch the performances.

Wow, being a Disney fan I'm embaressed to say I don't know too much about this. Is the fountain at EPCOT? If it is I think the water shows are amazing, but never know when they are going on. I always just happen to catch parts of it by luck.

I thought it was something like that. Is there anyway of knowing what show the "water" is putting on? I mean, does it say it in the map?

It doesn't say anywhere when or which show, I don't even know if it puts them on in order or at random, anyone else know?

I just know the show is on time every quarter hour and almost endlessly at night during the holidays. It would be cool if they had a board announcing what was playing/showing. Seems to be a great "hidden secret" even though it is huge and right in the middle of Future World!

It's hard to pick one, but I went with Standing in Motion. The FoN is a must-see for me; Epcot wouldn't be the same without it.

So how do you all know which one is which. It's remarkable that you know which ones you love. How can you tell the difference?

Well the music for one. Select them on this site and listen to the difference, maybe you will catch one that you have seen. I have only seen two Standing in motion (SIM) and Day one. I like SIM because I always seem to catch it when I walk into the Park.

Hard to pick just one, but I went with Standing in Motion. I absolutely love watching the fountain after the park has pretty much cleared. We used to book the latest seating at Coral Reef, when Future World was open until 9 also. Had the park to ourselves on the way out, and loved the serenity of the fountain.

Had to go with Standing in Motion. Everytime we walk by the fountain we have to stop and watch it. I also love to watch it after Illuminations as everyone runs out of the park. :)

I love all the FON shows! (Especially at night when they have the colored lights) But as a dancer... my favorite part is how the water has a "choreographed dance" to the music! Heheh...

I also like the cool mist that comes off of it when you walk by it on a HOT day! :mickey: WDW really knows how to keep their guests comfy on hot days.... I love that they always have shade, fans, misting water and AC very accessable in ALL the lines! :mickey: :mickey: :mickey: :mickey: not to mention the plethora of wather fountains around the park! (and the closeness of the bathrooms is nice too... ) am I rambling on now?
