WDW quote game

Post by Mr.ToadWildRider » Apr Sun 23, 2006 1:23 pm

I don't know if this is or isn't allowed seeing as how it may result in inflated post counts, which has a little more weight here than on other Disney sites I've posted on, but I always like playing these kind of things on forums where everyone is a WDW fan. If this isn't allowed and closed etc. I'd understand but it basically goes that the first person gives a quote from an attraction (example that I'm sure EVERYONE knows is 'You are not the first to pass this way...' the answer being Maelstrom) then the first person to post Maelstrom gets to post the next quote.

Maybe to make it less like spam the poster also has to finish the quote/give the next line and their favorite part of the ride/attraction (or why they don't like it or something).

The first one is:
"...something you won't find in any guidebook..."

Tower of Terror

Heard after drop sequence

"A warm welcome back to those of you who made it and a friendly word of warning; something you won't find in any guidebook. The next time you check into a deserted hotel on the dark side of Hollywood, make sure you know just what kind of vacancy you're filling. Or you may find yourself a permanent resident of...The Twilight Zone"

personally I think its a great ride...but i hate going on rides that drop you. The expereience is cool...just don't like the sensation.

I believe that would be Carousel of Progress.

"He calls it 'air cooling'."

Even though it hardly truly comes to mind as being a must-see when I go to Disney, it's always finds it way on the itinerary, between Space Mountain and whatever is in the If You Had Wings pavilion (it's still The Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin). Gotta have a soft spot for the originals.

So, in keeping this going...

"There's always been something sort of mysterious about our oceans. We knew they were filled with valuable gifts for us."

"Yeah, water and seaweed."

Hmmm I don't recall the next line but I believe that is from the Horizons where the two hosts/mother and father are discussing the sea base? I loved that ride so much and I still think it was a better attraction than Mission: Space. It wasn't thrilling but it was fun in it's comedy (i.e. the robot going nuts trying to clean up the mess) and in it's dreams of what the future may bring. Deserts are being farmed now, although I'm not sure how many orange groves they have out there yet :P so who knows how accurate it'll be with its other predictions. I always thought the choose your own ending feature was so cool too. I want Horizons back! :(

How about - "That's it deary, show us your larboard side"

I know that one! It's from Pirates of the Carribean of course. To which all the rowdy pirates reply, "We wants the redhead, we wants the redhead!" And then another pirate yells, "Quiet, you scum!" and shoots at them. Arr, mateys.

Another quote. Ahh, how about this.

"Pierre, you rascal..."
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Tiki Room!

I think he goes on like "Pierre you rascal you, let's put on the show!"

I love the original Tiki Room... at Disneyland. WDW's "Under New Management" is hurl-worthy. Blecch.

And for my quote...

Timekeeper!

I think it's in the Ice Age part...

OK, here's one more (then I promise to back off and let others play)

- "Something you ate, sir?"

Alien Encounter: Its the conversation between Spinlock and Clench during the queue line wait. I enjoyed those 2 characters, reminded me of Coneheads. And the ride is so much better than Stitch, When I first went on Stitch, I was waiting for something big to happen and it didn't and I was really disappointed. I'll never forget the first time I went on Ailen Encounter, I slouched in my seat so the shoulder harness came down too low so it HURT during the whole ride!!!

So here's my quote:

"If you're seeing mermaids, you've been submerged too long "
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Rain upon that planet Earth. And they rain ... and rain ... and rain. The deluge.

Is that the restaurant in Tomorrowland? The Tomorrowland Terrace or something, where they have that robot musician? I have no idea though, but I figured I would wager a guess.

I'm going to take an educated guess and say Sunny Eclipse from Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland.
