Wonders of Life, no more?
Sorry if I may have missed this subject in another post. I was just looking over a current list of WDW rehabs/closures, and it said the Wonders of Life pavillion has closed permanently. Jeez! Am I way out of the loop, or is this news to anyone else? It's the first I've heard about it. Just wondering.
Also, does anyone know what may be replacing it? Any thoughts?

I think the official Disney line is that it's open seasonally, but from what I read on news groups and websites, it's really never open at all and is for all intents and purposes, closed. It's really a shame; as you can tell from my signature, Cranium Command is one of my favorite attractions. The hands-on exhibits were a lot of fun, too.

No all I've heard is they are just leaving it there they don't even have any destruction date on it, no machines either and I go there 3 times a year that place has been cosed for a couple of years! But they did open it for a couple of day in November or something I knew they had it pen for a little bit and it was packed! I don't know why they closed it!mickster68 wrote:Sorry if I may have missed this subject in another post. That's exactly what's going on with Wonders of Life right now. It's being used during peak seasons and for special events (i.e. -- corporate parties). However, don't expect the pavillion to ever reopen on a regular basis, at least as it exists now.rickeisenstein wrote:Ususally they reopen a closed attraction to help with overflow or if another attraction nearby is under construction.
I'm sad, because my man "Buzzy" is going to become part of Yesterland...

Well, let's hope it doesn't stand vacant too long, but Epcot has given us Mission Space and Soarin over the past 3 years - pretty good stuff there!Cheshire Cat wrote:As long as it doesn't do what Horizons did and just sit there. Disney better get the fate of this attraction underway and either re-open it, re-furb it or re-place it. Just do something so EPCOT doesn't become low on things to do...

It has been vacant for way too long, I say get us a classic ride like Horizons or the likes. No more rides like Mission:Space for a while, btwn them and Test Track they are often down, cost lots, and are engineering headaches.
Omnimover rides are still entertaining and would give those that can't ride the thrills something else to do. Wonders of Life never was a great pavilion [the preshow to Cranium Command was the best part in my mind] so I say time to start over on it... Ok, off to stash the soapbox...

GREAT idea, G2-4T! Something for families to do together. They could always re-imagineer something similar to Adventure Thru Inner Space.G2-4T wrote: Omnimover rides are still entertaining and would give those that can't ride the thrills something else to do.
