There is a cool article on http://www.jimhillmedia.com that describes the process that Disney goes thru in the event of a emergency situation, like 9/11

It's nice to know that Disney is well prepared for any type of emergency situation..

There are 2 follow ups to this....

They give accounts to what it was like in the parks on that morning

WDW

and the other parks

Reading them now still gives me the chills. That day will be burned in my brain.. never forget that day and seeing the smoke rising from the ashes of the towers. I live in NJ and could see the smoke from a town near my house.

One brother was scheduled for an interview in Tower 2 at 9am that morning. He was notoriously late and saw one of the planes crash it. He always has a camera on him, and started taking pictures right away. Chilling. He helped in the rubble for a couple of weeks, then left NYC for good.

My other brother had called his wife, who was a lawyer across from Pentagon. While he was on the phone with her, she screamed 'they're attacking...' and the line went dead. They eventually left DC.

Both obviously survived, but it was the worst couple days of our lives while we tried getting in touch with everyone.

It was awful. Learned a lot about my family that week. As much as my little brothers annoy me, I kinda like having them around.
