Just a FYI.....

Disney is advertising the value resort deal on the passholder website. If you have or want to make a reservation at a different level resort the discount at mousesavers.com is correct and is available for all level of resorts.

I called in to modify my reservation in April. We are staying at the Saratoga Springs Resort and I am an AP holder and wanted to get my discount. When I called in and told the agent I wanted my discount he told me there was only a discount for value resorts. Which generally speaking is never the case, they usually have a discount for all levels. So I called back and talk to a different agent, told them i was a passholder, and gave her the discount code from mousesavers.com and she put it in and gave me the discount! I saved $100 a night on the reservation, for a total savings of $900!

Sounds like this happens a lot as I found a link on mousesavers about it. This is in the mousesavers FAQ:
The resort discount code you list isn't working for me. Why?
All of the resort discount codes on MouseSavers.com have been checked out carefully. In most cases, I’ve seen the original advertisement (or whatever the original source was) and have called Disney to check the information. Usually I've also received dozens (even hundreds) of emails from people who have successfully used the code.
While I’m not infallible, I can tell you that when someone writes to tell me a code didn't work, it almost always turns out to be one of three things:
1. The person who wrote me is trying to use a code for dates or resorts for which it is not intended. This is just plain not going to work.
2. There are no rooms at that rate remaining in the system for the particular combination of dates you want at the hotel you want. (Typically Disney holds a limited number of rooms for each code.) It's best if you have some flexibility in your travel dates and/or choices of hotel. If you can't get your first choice, you can always try calling back from time to time, since rooms are released frequently.
3. It might be a problem with the reservations agent. Some of the agents at the Disney Reservations Center are more knowledgeable and helpful than others. If you have double-checked a code and made sure that it covers the resort and dates you want, but the person who answers the phone is telling you it won’t work or doesn’t exist, politely end the call and try again. There are hundreds of agents, so it’s very unlikely you’ll get the same one twice.
Hope this helps…. Fight for your right for a DISCOUNT

Absolutely. Also be aware that if you're working with a TA, it's best to provide them with the offer code so that they can be sure they are looking at the appropriate discount as well. Most of us try them all anyways, but if you're looking at something they might not be aware of, it sure helps a whole boatload to know the code.

Glad to hear you saved $900. That covers a few mickey bars!

I called yesterday February 28th and purchased my annual pass. I also booked a room for the POR, but was not able to receive the discount AP rate. I received a rate of $139. I was told there were no AP rates left at moderate resorts for May 8th to May 12th. Should I call again and try another cast member? Also, I read somewhere that you can purchase some kind of ticket when you are an AP holder that gives you 20% off of food bills. Is there any truth to this? Thanks!

Interesting. I just called Disney again and gave them the EZN code for AP holders and I received a better discount they what they gave me yesterday. It drop the cost of the room another $8.00 per night. I was not able to get a room at the FQ, but I did get a room at POR. Thanks so much for Mousesavers!!

Opps, I was wrong. The original rate of the room was $155. I was given a rate of $139.00 yesterday and with the EZN code today I believe the rate is $119.00. He gave me the daily rate of $132.64 includes the taxes which I believe would be about $119.00 per night without the tax. That's a difference of $36.00 saved each night! This is my first solo trip and I am really excited about it. A little nervous, but excited!
