I just saw the news that WDW is replacing their classic purple road signs with boring blue ones. No!! I love the unique purple ones.

No More Purple Signs
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Booo! I liked the purple better too ~ I'd love to get my hands on one of the old purple ones ~ that would be kinda neat in a garage or something

I'd skip the garage for the house proper. Although they're big signs and not a lot of wall space. If you had pets and they had a spot that was primarily for them a nice "Animal Kingdom" sign on the door would be fitting (or a kids play room I suppose, depending on the level of tidiness )

Oh, that would be cute! I'm wondering if they'd even fit in a house, maybe the side of the road ones, but I was thinking of the overhead ones. They must be fairly massive.

Re: No More Purple Signs
They don't look bad, I love the color blue and that's a nice shade, but it seems to me this is just another step that Disney is taking in making many things very basic. It feels like so much is just missing the things that make the Disney parks stand out. Little things like colorful signs seem like nothing, but the purple signs felt more magical, more imaginative, and stood out more.
