What was the greatest number of WDW resorts you have stayed in, during a trip to WDW?
Ok here's mine. On our 2 week honeymoon we stayed at 5!
Polynesian
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Yacht and Beach Club
Wilderness Lodge
and Port Orleans, riverside.

Rich, I'm a Disney TA and do a lot of splits, and I've NEVER done a 5-way!!! OMG, your head must have been spinning!
We're doing a 3-split over a week in May:
Carribean Beach
Grand Floridian
Beach Club
I prefer to 'settle in' at one resort, so that's going a bit much for me. The most I've ever done for a Guest is a three resort split.
I do a few 2 resort splits and a cruise, does that count?

I 'm sure it's fun to try to different resorts, but don't you find it a little waste of time changing hotels?

I would rather try a different hotel each visit than change during visits. I setup my room like home, and I wouldn't want to have to pack it up again to switch resorts

David, the only time it takes me is about an hour to pack, and about a half hour to unpack in between. I let Disney move the luggage. It used to take me longer, but I've learned I don't need to travel with as much stuff as I used to do.
Cheshire, me too. That's why I don't like to do it, but I find I have to sometimes.

Oh, I didn't know you had to switch

Cheshire, it's okay. I do it to myself! I'm too busy booking everyone else, and then when it comes to booking my own, there are no TA or AP rates out, so I piece them together. I'm okay with it though, since I really want to get to learn about all the different room options at the resorts.

Not Really...
We never really unpack and "move into the room", we just keep it simple. So moving on is not a big deal for us.
Also during the honeymoon we stayed at all luxury resorts execpt for Dixie Landings. They pamaper you in those deluxe ones. You pull up and guys just start running for the car helping you. Oh yeah i'm a big shot..lol Funny we pulled up to dixie landings and no one came out, and I was like hey where is everybody..
I should also say that switching that many times only happened once by design. Normally we stay at 1 or 2 wdw resorts max.
We had a specific plan to staying at all of those resorts on our honeymoon.

Ours was over 2 weeks this past summer. We did 4 resorts
Pop Century
Saratota Springs Resort
Animal Kingdom Lodge
Beach Club Villas
We also chose a split stay. It was kinda crazy, but fun at the same time. We had Disney transfer our luggage each time. I do think this many resort transfers in 2 weeks would have been easier if we had our own car. Anyway, it has now become my husbands mission to stay at EVERY Disney Resort.

We only have a couple to go and the 3 on the monorial. Can't wait!

Thought I would pull this one back it's been a couple of years and someone may have beaten 5 by now, (somehow I doubt it).
We have ever only stayed at two resorts during one trip, it wasn't that much hassle but I prefer sticking to one place.

We've only done two on a trip.

I have done two...stayed at Shades of Green for the weekend rates and then moved over to Saratoga Springs to utilize the dining plan and Magical Express. I have always wanted to do a moderate/monorail split...just so I could see what it's like to stay on the monorail...without paying for a deluxe resort for the entire trip. No one else wants to do that with me...but maybe someone will come around some day. My g/f hasn't been to WDW since she was a little girl...so maybe it's something we can do in the future.

Wow, I have only done a split between off-site and Contemporary. I think this would be tough on shorter visits. What's the minimum number of days you guys recommend for splits? 2 days per resort?

I've only ever done two hotels in a trip. If we went long enough I might be tempted to do more, though...
I wouldn't want to do fewer than 2 nights per place. I think it'd take up too much vacation time with moving around otherwise. Unless maybe we were just staying in a place one night at the start of a trip because we couldn't get in somewhere else (or decided to randomly add a day). Our last trip was 3 nights one place, 2 nights the other. That wasn't too hectic (for me, anyway - keep in mind it's just me and my husband; no kids to move).
