"Don't Miss!" at WDW??

Post by Beaker » Nov Sun 20, 2005 10:44 pm

I will be going to WDW in January and since I've only been there twice before (once with the family several years ago and once with my old high school band), what is everyone's suggestion for the one thing that should not be missed (if you can think of just one!)?

Do not miss Illuminations!! If it's there, of course. It's a nighttime fireworks show at Epcot. The music is really good and inspiring. That's my one recommendation.

You saw it before on the other thread but because this is a great question for everyone here it is...

Don't miss the fireworks/nighttime specatcular at each park - no where else can you find such amazing uses of pyrotechics, lasers, and music! I know it isn't just one thing but it sort of qualifies, esp. since it seems like it is impossible to pick just one thing to not miss!

I also agree, the nighttime shows are fabulous, but of all the daytime parades, I highly suggest going to see the Jammin' Jungle Parade - it's very catchy and interactive and just so much fun!

After long contemplation, I have decided that the one thing you ought not miss is Peter Pan's Flight. The effects are amazing and flying to Neverland is always so magical. Don't forget to look down when you fly over London, I hear the cars below are really moving!

Mickey's Philharmagic. I saw it for the first time when I was there last November... blew me away. Really the very best use of the "3D show" at any Disney park anywhere.

Oh, and for the minutes-and-seconds countdown... download the free (and totally virus-free!) program "MouseTrack" from pocketDisney.com. I love mine!

Absolutely, don't miss Soarin! It's amazing. Also don't miss Splash Mountain, the ride thru the mountain is absolutely beautiful and Disney at it's best. And again, the nighttime shows are fabulous and are a must see.

Fantasmic! in the Disney Studios is a must see. I think it's the best night-time show in all of WDW.

I personally would recommend seeing WDW from the Peoplemover (aka - Tomorrowland Transit Authority) during both day and night. seems like a totally different ride with the neon lights and the castle all lit up...

Besides all the great attractions listed above, I would have to recommed the Haunted Mansion. Besides the fact it's a classic and still great, just ride it for all the little details!
