Which song means the most to you

Post by TestTrack » Oct Tue 04, 2005 1:05 am

I am not going to post a poll because that would limit people too much. But explain what your favorite ride song is and why. Note that this is not just best song, but the one that MEANS the most to you. I'll start to provide an example.

For me, there are so many, but I will list the top 2:

1. Spaceship Earth Finale - Been riding it every since I was 5 or something around then and it still brings back all the childhood memories.

2. Star Tunnel - As soon as I walk into the line, I swear I nearly tear up. Again, a ride I have ridden for all of my life, its so different than any other that it is impossible to forget.

Honorable mentions go to One little spark and Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit I loved these when I was younger. I remember one time Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit was closed for remodeling and I nearly threw a tantrum. I walked around singing the song in a not so happy voice ;) Ah to be that young again.

just about anything from WDW (before 2002, last time I went down there) is great to me. Brings back many memories from various trips over the years. I can't narrow it down to just one or two individual things...

I love the organ version of "Yo Ho Yo Ho" that plays at the end of the DL version of Pirates, as you're coming up that water ramp. That and the polka music in the queue for Matterhorn Bobsleds!

At the Magic Kingdom the song that means the most to me is either song at the Carousel of Progress. Both songs really make me feel good and remember how cool it was as a kid watching the show not sure if we were moving or the stage was.

There are so many good one's though I would have a different answer everyday.

For me, it's definitely Promise/We Go On. The day we got engaged (at Epcot), as we were leaving the park after IllumiNations, we just sat by the water while Promise was playing, and I couldn't think of a more fitting song for us. To this day it makes me tear up a little bit. I'm such a sap. :)

Illuminations: Reflections of Earth. As an Epcot cast member alumni, I hold that show near and dear and all of the music that goes with it. The show itself can easily bring me to tears if I'm in the right mood.

The America song at the closing of The American Adventure. Visually it makes you choke up because of the famous people who made this place great. But listening to the lyrics you don't only choke up, you get such a sense of pride for the country we live in.

I also love the music to the Spectro parade. Everytime I hear it it makes me remember the wonderful times I spent at Disney World. It makes me remember because this is always how the night ends. With a dazzle of colorful lights and memorable characters. It always reminds me to come back and partake in the magic again.

Grim Grinning Ghosts - represents my all time favorite attraction and reminds me of riding it as a kid for the first time every time! 8)

Celestial Soda Pop (Wonders of Life) & Behind the Waterfall (Tomorrowland area music) also pull on my emotions as for some reasons those two tracks remind me of first time I took my children to WDW.

I'll have to say Yo-Ho, Yo Ho. The Pirates has been a family favorite since our first trip in 1974. Hearing any version (instrumental of singing) brings back memories of our early trips to the World.

Golden Dream from The American Adventure Pavillion, That song almost makes me tear up because of patriotic pride, and it also stirs up childhood memories of going to EPCOT with my family.

I can never get too much of The Main Street Electrical Parade. It's just a fun upbeat tune.

Peoplemover music. I have a lot of fond memories of riding the Peoplemover, relaxing, enjoying the music, and taking in the scenery with friends and family.

Epcot music. Even though I've never been there, I enjoy a lot of the Epcot music. Bummer that so many of the rides are gone and I won't be able to experience them first hand.

But I would say they are doing a decent job replacing them to make the park more alive, it use to be quite dead in there.

I rather like listening to Fortuosity on Main Street USA although it isn't a ride, I remember hearing that song on my first trip to WDW in 1978.

My second fave, which a lot of people will disagree with, is Its a Small World
