They have just added a personal shopping service for Disney Springs. That confuses me even more, if we were talking about a shopping center with high end stores, fashion, etc. it might work but not for a tourist mall.

I think the easiest way to make the cabanas have any level of demand is to simply promise a table at the highest demand places for whatever time they want. Since those places fill up minutes after ADRs are open, people who weren't aware of the system or didn't have time to check back a million times would be able to buy their way in.
I could see some of the wealthy foreign visitor taking advantage of the personal shopping service. And perhaps the same people that take advantage of the personal tour guides in the park.
Interesting idea on the reservations for people shelling out the big bucks for the cabanas. That might actually entice some people to pay the big bucks.
None of these brands are ones that would get the attention of a wealthy anyone... https://www.disneysprings.com/shops/

They are trying to have Rodeo Drive services for Mall of America stores. This is the main reason I never considered returning to DTD/DS, there is literally nothing there of interest because all of those stores exist at the local malls (at least back when malls were a thing). Part of what a PS does is help you find something rare/exotic, you won't find that at DS.

For $675/night, I HOPE they get to keep everything in the cabana. They just seem to me for the price. Plus, I would need a bed for a nap. I'm wondering about smokers as well. Isn't this around the smoking area? I would be really upset to pay that and then smell nothing but smoke the whole time I am in there.

That is per day, you still have to go back to your hotel room when the park closes. :D

I know, but us "park experts" have learned that you go to the park in the morning, then leave for a nap and go back for the night hours. If these things had a bed, it would eliminate the hassle of going back.

Presumably, you would just nap on the couches.

That is the core failure with them, if you are someone that would book one, you probably are staying on property at a high end resort. The highest concentration of them is on the MK monorail loop, Wilderness Lodge is also very close, so the appeal is having a retreat is severely diminished when your room is probably less than 20 mins away.

Ugh, that would be awful if they kept the smoking area in the same place!

What is this "nap" thing you speak of? Us "hardcore park experts" know that you go to the park first thing in the morning, and go, go, go until the EMH are over in the wee hours of the next morning!! :goofy_bounce:

Absolutely, more exercise, then an even longer nap.

Just ask your concierge to send whomever the coke dealer is on staff to your room. If they are confused demand to speak to their manager or get into a hotel fit for humans.

It's a weird idea, inside and out.
