Hi Everyone,

We finally decided on the OKW resort!! we are checking in on the 20th of January, staying in a 2 bedroom villa!! Who has stayed? Pros vs Cons? Olivia's? are there specific buildings that you suggest? I'm ready to hear all about it!!

Sounds great! I unfortunately haven't stayed there so I have nothing to add :( but I'm curious to see what your impressions are upon your return! :D

We generally request a building near the hospitality house or near the Peninsular Road bus stop (OKW is my wife's home resort). If you want to be close to the Hospitality House (where check-in, the main pool, Olivias, Good's and the Store/gift shop is) those are buildings 11-14. Also buildings 63 (which has an elevator) and 62. Peninsular Road bus stop is the first stop coming back in to the resort from the parks and is a reasonable walk to the HH, buildings 23-27. We go for these if we can't get near the Hospitality House to get off the bus more quickly while coming home but we'll walk to the HH to catch the bus in the morning.

We have stayed on the South edge of the resort also. It's out of the way and gets some noise from the roads (Buena Vista Drive and Bonnet Creek). The South Point Road area is probably the most out of the way and quiet if you are looking for that. There is a small pool near building 56 there. Near the Turtle Pond bus stop is not bad for quiet and out of the way as well.

Be sure to hit Olivia's! Breakfast is always yummy...but so is lunch and dinner! Crab cakes and a Key Lime Tart for me please.

I was just wondering how you liked your stay, now that it's 10 months later. :)

Ah good ol' OKW! I've stayed there many times. It's not my personal favorite, as I like being within walking distance to the parks, but OKW is a top notch resort. Olivia's is pretty good, but honestly I've always just liked the snack bar that's just down a few doors across from the pool. Make sure you grab one of the water taxis to Disney Springs when you're there...that's definitely a cool feature of OKW. Enjoy your stay, I'm sure you'll love Old Key West.
