Disny World Rides

Post by littlered » Sep Sun 27, 2015 7:07 pm

I'm going to Disney World next year and was wondering, what are the best rides to hit first in each park? :goofy_bounce:

I imagine everyone might have different answers for this one ~ it depends on whether you are interested in the most popular attractions and trying to keep your queue time to a minimum. I would guess Kilimanjaro Safaris at AK, Toy Story Midwaay Mania at DHS (mostly because Tower of Terror and Rock 'n Roller Coaster don't ever seem to be running at park open), Soarin' or Test Track at EPCOT, although I like Spaceship Earth just as well, and Peter Pan or Dumbo at the MK, again because Splash Mountain and Big Thunder Mountain don't seem to be up and running at park open in my experience. Anything in Fantasyland is good because that place gets crowded before very long and the stroller jams are just annoying

it also depends on if you are going with little ones or teens or just adults. do you love roller coasters, or more sedate rides? at that, i agree with what Amy said for the most part. in the past when it was just my husband and i going, we would skip a lot of Fantasyland, so typically headed to Jungle Cruise first in Magic Kingdom. now this trip, between traveling with an almost 4 year old and having Fast Passes already booked (man, i HATE having to figure my trip that detailed in advance, but its the only practical way to hit the high popularity rides :( ) ,our strategy will likely change considerably. now we are likely going to be starting with other things that were lower priority in the past like the Tiki Room or triceretops spin since we know that we will be able to get on other things later on in the day then we would have traditionally in the past.

It all comes down to what you really like. If you really enjoy the roller coasters and rougher rides then I would say this:

DAK: Expedition Everest at rope drop and ride it over and over! The safari also tends to be better in the morning as I have found the animals to be more active around then.
DHS: RnR, ToT, and then Midway Mania and Star Tours
MK: Mine Train, then all three mountains, maybe Pirates
EPCOT: Soarin', Test Track. DO NOT ride Spaceship Earth until later in the day.

MK- 7 Dwarves, Peter Pan or Dumbo if you have kids, and Big Thunder, Space or Splash Mountains.
EP- Soarin', The new Frozen ride when it opens, and Test Track.
HS- Tower of Terror, Rockin' Roller Coaster, and surprisingly Star Tours.
AK- Everest, Festival of the Lion King.
