I thought I'd give a quick update. For personal reasons at home, I could do not the College Program this year but decided to pursue a Professional Internship. I sent my resume to the Animal Programs- Animal Technology Internship!
My major is Computer Information Sytems btw.
After exchanging a few e-mails of other stuff they needed, I now have an interview this Tuesday at 3pm! Wish me luck!

I just got home from my class, and I got a message on the answering machine from the regional manager of Animal Programs. She let me know that the IT Manager had to step out of the offices for the day and that they would call me back sometime next week to reschedule my interview.
Now I have to wait even longer....

Ok here's the update:
I applied for the Animal Programs/Animal Technology Internship on the first week of March. I received a few emails where they asked for more information earlier this month, then I received another email asking me for a good day for an interview. I was supposed to have an interview last Tuesday (3/24) but I received a phone call saying it was going to be postponed as the person interviewing me had to step out of the office..then I tried e-mailing that person to let them know that I received the message (since it was left on the answering machine) but I got a "email is no longer valid" so I was a little worried
Then, on Friday, I received another phone call on the answering machine saying that they wouldn't be calling me Monday to reschedule and that it may be another week before they call me as the department is going through some changes this week (perhaps with some layoffs?:()
Then today (monday), on my cell phone from area code 407 so I knew it was them!! The lady asked me simple questions like if I worked for Disney in the past, and that I would be available to work every day including overtime from June-January, and that I would be fine to work within the Disney Look. Then she asked me when a good time to reschedule my interview would be and I said Thursday, so my interview is now scheduled for Thursday at 230!

My guess is that this person was part of the layoffs that happened last week across Disney. I feel for all of those people and everyone else affected by what's going right now. Good news for you that they have rescheduled and still looking for some positions!!packwingfn wrote:I was supposed to have an interview last Tuesday (3/24) but I received a phone call saying it was going to be postponed as the person interviewing me had to step out of the office..then I tried e-mailing that person to let them know that I received the message (since it was left on the answering machine) but I got a "email is no longer valid" so I was a little worried
My suggestion would be to not leave without them seeing that THEY will be the ones missing out if they don't bring your on board. When I interviewed, I always looked for someone that would jump right into the position and become part of the team asap. That, and getting the feeling that this person is someone I didn't want to let walk out of there and not see again. Kind of typical stuff but energy and enthusiasm go a looong way.
Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the tip, I admit I will be a bit nervous (it's a phone interview) but I also need to show some confidence that I know what i'm doing but also show them that I'm willing to learn as well.
