I shall continue keeping my fingers crossed then. I know they used to use it in the cheddar cheese soup; hopefully they still do and thus need a supply of it around.

Anybody got the recipe for that cheddar cheese soup? I don't think I can wait until December to have some more. Thanks.

FYI, according to this page at AllEarsNet, if nothing else, Le Cellier still carries Moosehead on draft.

Wow, I can't imagine doing this, even in my younger days. Switching between beer and wine would just not work for me. So even though I love my Bass in the UK and my white Burgundy in France, I have to stick with one or the other and not switch around.

As for the "all the beer tastes the same" idea, I'm guessing that whatever is served in WDW is an Americanized version of the beer, brewed especially for export. If you went to the country itself, or even to a good liquor store, the beer could be completely different. I get German beers at my local liquor store, and they certainly don't taste like Budweiser. And that is especially true for dark beers, including Guinness.

Allearsnet has a fantastic archive of recipes from Walt Disney World, including the Cheddar Cheese Soup. Here's the link:

I'm going to now try to build in a extra day and a half into our next trip just so I can attempt the "Trip", and then have time to recover.

The 68 minute Illuminations track is currently playing, and has me wondering. Is there a good place around the World Showcase to sit and have drinks while being able to listen to preshow music, as well as being able to have a good view of the show? I'm thinking grab an outside table, have dinner, after dinner drinks, and BAM, Illuminations, all without having to move. Any place like that exist?

Ooo. I must have skipped the lunch menu when I looked (or it was update recently .. it says Aug 07 anyway). In any case - yay!

Let us know how the soup turns out hypermommy. I tried to make it once but it was an epic failure. >_<

Wanted to this trip and just didn't have time. With a group of 10 and so much to do, wasting an admission day on this task didn't seem feasible, especially with a 1 yr. old.

This dream may wait several years until the DD can take care of herself (and her old man :P ).

I'll second Spaulo's nomination of the Rose and Crown. We have done this several times and if you can get a table outside by the water, it is just breathtaking. You are so close to the action that you can actually feel the heat of the flames on your skin, and at times during the show you feel as if you are totally immersed in the fireworks (it helps to have a couple of pints of Bass to enhance the effect).

You definitely don't have to swtich from beer to wine when doing the Epcot Shuffle, every country offers a beer choice. :D

As mentioned, in Canada you can get Moosehead as well as Molson and Labatt's. And if you dine at LeCellier you can partake in Trois Pistoles, La Maudite and Blanche de Chambly.

The UK offers Guinness, Bass, Harp, Tennent's and Caffrey's.

In France you'll need to stop in to Boulangerie Patisserie where they sell botles of Fischer.

Morroco sells a beer called Casablanca (and you can get Heineken and Amstel Light at Restaurant Marrakesh or the Tangierine Café).

You can get Kirin beer in Japan (not sure if this will be offered when Teppanyaki reopens).

Sam Adams 8) and Budweiser beers are available in America!

Italy has Peroni and not sure what the new Italian place opening soon will serve.

Germany has Becks, Lowenbrau, and a slew of super authentic German brews such as Jaeger & Rumpleminz.

China has Tsingtao and Yanjing.

Norway has Ringnes Pilsner and Karlsberg beer.

And finally Mexico with Dos Equis and authentic Tecate and Negra Modelo beers.

Not that I was keeping track or anything

I made it around the world in 40 days....ok more like 8 hours but I thought it sounded cool.
I know this is probably your first flight...and it's mine too...ha, ha

Rain upon that planet Earth. And they rain ... and rain ... and rain. The deluge.

That's an impressive list, AKLRULZ. It also sounds very filling... luckily you're at WDW so you can walk off all those carbs!

That's exactly what I was talking about! Thanks for the tip, guys! It'll be on my to do list.
