We were supposed to go to the Halloween Party last Friday, but due to unforseen circumstances, we couldn't go. So at fireworks time, I queued up a YouTube video of Halloween Screams and played it while watching the live show. Of course, you cannot see the castle effects, but you really get a perspective for where they are launched from (behind Toontown) in reference to the Matterhorn/Castle. (We also watched a YouTube video of the parade...)
Now that's a crafty Disney fan

I love it! I know the times are posted for the Fireworks on Disneyland's page, so it's definitely something I'm gonna try to do! Maybe Friday!!!

The Blue Heron Resort has a link that shows downtown Disney on a live cam. It even captures the fireworks from Epcot in the background.
This is the link:

You'll have to scroll down some, and click on the link where it says this is the view from the rooms. It's live streaming!

OHHHH....those are soooo cool!
I'm watching the sun come up in CALIFORNIA! I've never been to Disneyland but those cams give me such a feel for it. And the cam from the Blue Heron shows Spaceship Earth! Can't wait to look at that one tonight! Thank you to those of you who posted these!

I find the Blue Heron's images look better in the morning than afternoon since the sun is behind it. Hojo's cams in Disneyland seem consistent throughout.

i think it is the direction it is pointed, and the quality of the camera

Yes, I thought the same thing. Very clear in the morning. Got to watch Illuminations last night...at least I'm assuming it was Illuminations....

The website eyesonears was posting the Blue Heron's cam on it for a while, but one night, they actually zoomed in on Illuminations. I couldn't tell who actually did it, if it was the site, or the cam operator.

Oh wow, that's neat! Thank you for the link!
Is that the top of The Land pavilion behind Cirque du Soleil? It's kind of hazy right now, so it's hard to see.

You are correct. It always looks hazy in the afternoon. Mornings usually are clearer images.
