Sounds about right to me. We paid for it, so lets keep it.

DVC has some neat stickers with the characters. They will give them out for the asking.

My favorite free souvenir is the drawing you make at the Animation class. We go through the class at least once every visit. I also manage to get at least one CM every trip to give me some of the Mickey stickers they hand out to little kids. I'm just a big kid, too!

I also always keep my room key. My mom collects the soaps, shampoos, and coasters, and we always grab handfuls of guidemaps to give out to family and friends.

Agree with Arete about the stickers. Always try to keep some in my wallet.

Other favs are park guide maps, the customizable maps that you can order from the web site - I try to get one set for each trip, fast passes, and restaurant menus!

I try to swipe the pens every time I have to sign for something. This year I came home with 13 of them.

I personally like the "Your Future" video from the current Spaceship Earth. After disembarking from the ride, you can e-mail the video back to yourself. Next time I go, I am going to answer the questions differently so I can collect the different variations.

We love those too! I have ours saved from our past trip! We purposely answered different so we had a different "future" each time!

Napkins, shampoo, soap, towel animals, cups, etc. Basically anything that says Disney!

It's easy. I had the meal plan so they would bring the receipt for my to sign. I would time it so I sign the receipt, take the pen and leave before they come back. I got six of them that way. Took a couple from my room and then pilfered a few more from my friends' rooms.

They aren't free, but I buy a post card and tape it inside my kitchen cabinet, and when I'm doing kitcheny things I get a happy reminder of the fun we had...also works with picutures, altho my photography leaves much to be desired.

Just for Disney pens. I swipe as many as I can find! I'm only down there once every other year so I got to get enough to last me that long!

not really free, but I like the resort mug - I have a collection dating back to 1994 - although they were better when they had individual resort designs than one design for the whole of wdw. I used to collect resort maps - just asked a lobby of resorts we visited or some leaflets from the parks, still have a discovery island one (plus they are light and small in your luggage) :mickey:

We brought home a gold lettered Contemporary Resort logo'd plastic swizzle stick. (from a drink) I know, the swizzle stick was "free" in a two times normal price mixed drink but it still brings back memories 15+ years later. And no, we don't use it. It's in a plastic tube from kid's candy. I haven't seen themed WDW swizzle sticks in years unless we've been in the wrong places. We only have a couple of drinks during our stays so we really don't have a wide comparison basis.

We keep the card keys. The kids have a collection of "Credit Cards" in there play money. It makes cleaning up a little nicer and you never know where you are goin gto find a smile.
