They took the wrap off late last month and repainted/cleaned up areas the wrap screwed up and it was reintroduced as Coral last week.mindflipper wrote:Does anyone know what happened to TRON-orail?

And they repainted the nosecone. For some reason that wasn't wraped (yes, wraps can take much faster speeds and harsher conditions than the monorail).
Wraps don't really screw up paintjobs, otherwise luxury car makers wouldn't dare bother with them. The only time they will screw up your paint is when you do something that only covers part of the paint, such as a Herbie the love bug wrap that places the strips and emblem on the doors and hood. Becuase the UV won't hit the covered sections as much the paint won't be as faded if they are removed.

They? It was only one and that was Coral. I am really hoping to get some nice shots of coral in it's proper color scheme. For some reason it always hides when I'm down. Last year was the first time I saw Teal and it was very nice to me for photographs. Saw it almost every day and got to the point where I knew I had enough shots of it.Wizzard419 wrote:They were taken out in July to have the painted cones re-painted and have the wraps peeled off of them.

Nope, only one. I think two were originally planned (I know I had read that somewhere), but only one monorail became TRON-orail.Wizzard419 wrote:Oh I thought there were 2 (one epcot one MK).

I was curious, the 2nd track on the hotel/mk loop is for the express train, right? Does it not run all the time? When I was there in 08' during late in early May, I don't recall it being an option.

It would be wonderful if you could get to each park, downtown Disney and resort by monorail. Plus, that would really give legs to Disney's eco focus-cut down on buses, cars exhaust. I know it would be a large initial investment but anything worthwhile has a large initial investment.

I'm actually surprised they don't have all the buses there running with natural gas since they collect so much garbage every year. All the trash trucks, street sweepers, buses, and many government vehicles run on it.

Define "all the time" and I can answer that question better.Wizzard419 wrote:I was curious, the 2nd track on the hotel/mk loop is for the express train, right? Does it not run all the time? When I was there in 08' during late in early May, I don't recall it being an option.

Truely amazing that Disney honored that poor cast member that lost his life! A credit for Disney there having some class for his memory!
I hope that Disney reconsiders it stance on guests riding in the front of the monorail, that lil bit of magic made some of my most happy memories sitting in the front with the driver was amazing for me and my kids. Please bring that back Disney!

I think you just did, but I mean does it run all year?MadEye wrote:Define "all the time" and I can answer that question better.Wizzard419 wrote:I was curious, the 2nd track on the hotel/mk loop is for the express train, right? Re: Disney begins work on 12th Monorail?
Yes. Monorails run all year just like the parks are open all year. Could have been having problems (they've been having problems with the Monorail system for at least a decade if not longer...).

Even the express one (in terms of year round)?
Are they just experiecing tons of mechanical issues or does the environment just make life difficult?
