Oh yeah! I remember Discovery Island. That was great. I wish they still had that. We used to drag my dad there when we were little. Being petrified of birds he hated it, I think that was half the fun! We used to love pointing out all the biggest birds to him!

I really miss the old Journey into Imagination with figment and the dreamfinder. You always came off that ride singing the song. It was catchy! :mickey:

Agree. I find myself whistling imagination all the time. It's classic.
Please keep your arms and legs inside the vehicle until the ride comes to a full and complete stop. Thank you, and enjoy the rest of your day here at Walt Disney World.

I really miss Horizons. I like Mission Space but I would trade it in a second for the old Horizons. Ah, orange grove smell...

That orange grove smell is one of my most vivid Disney memories. Especially when you'd go in the queue kind of later in the evening and it was (more or less) completely empty after people had gone off to stake out spots for Illuminations, and the whole place'd be full of the scent of orange blossoms. *contented sigh*

Yeah, not everyone could fully appreciate Horizons. For those of us that did, it is sorely missed. I feel the same way as you about the smell being a vivid memory. I think this is due to the fact that smell is the sense most closely associated with memory. As weird as this sounds, every time I board a boat on POTC and smell that musty water it just takes me back to my first trips to WDW as a kid and being there with my brother and mom and dad. I have literally teared up before just thinking about it. That's why I really hate to see an old attraction taken away or neglected. They are a piece of my childhood and my memories.

Mr. Toad and Alien are at the top of my list. I voted for Mr. Toad because I am so partial to it. Alien is up there because Stitch is so horrible.

I get the same way on the Great Movie ride. I remember being there with my parents, who have both past in the last few years. My mom loved that ride. It brings back so many memories my DW hands me a tissue when we get on it.

Yeah, I guess that's why it's so important to share vacations with family. It may sometimes seem like we are at each other's throats but laughter and fun has a way of bringing everyone together and that's what Disney is all about. Sniff sniff...I'm getting all misty just thinking about it.

I miss Horizons the most out of that list, I'll always remember the "orange" smell, and how big those screens were.

I've been on Stich's great escape. I never went on AE, so I have nothing to compare it to, so possibly an un-biased opinion?

I've only seen Lilo & Stitch in passing and so just followed my brother into the attraction. It was hilarious, I enjoyed it very much - one of the few things we did twice on my last trip.

(awaiting the pummelling)

So for me it's 20,000 Leagues, one of the few attractions I remember from my 1 and only childhood trip, so pure nostalgia for me.

Yes, I have when it first opened. I was with my sister-in-law and my nephew who was 8 at the time. We all thought it was a complete waste of time and we were extremely disappointed. The dark really is scary to some of the kids so the CM was constantly walking around with flash lights to let families out. From what I remember Stitch get's free and jumps around. You can feel him by your neck and he breaths on you and it really stinks. Some kids really like it!

Ummmmmm The Stitch ride is SOOOO LAME! I went on it once. I like AE MUCH better.... Maybe they can make an AE at one of the other parks... since it WAS aimed at adults.

There are a bunch of rides I do miss. I miss how Epcot used to be more about thinking, learning, and using your imagination. Now it's too dumbed down and getting to be too much like MK... What's the word I'm seeking here.... Too Homogenized.

Talking about dumbed down, I love how a couple of years ago Disney was talking about making SSE a roller coast that went out of the sphere. Until some one point out it would fall down. All of the panels are structural!! If you start removing them, it starts to FALL!! OY!!!! Maybe they're not dumbing down for the guest? It might just be the state of the management!!
