Well, with all of the Fantasyland expansion plans soon to be set in motion, and with the current economic situation, I think the WOL pavilion will probably stay the same for now. I doubt the higher-ups at Disney management will want to spend the extra dough.

And that's not even mentioning DCA.

I expect after the Fantasyland expansion, when they look to their next set of renovations, maybe they'll turn to EPCOT and renovate UoE, WoL, Innoventions, and Imagination, given how they have renovated SE, Land, and LS w/N in the past few years.

Maybe they could tear down the WOL pavilion and rebuild Horizons!
But also keep Cranium Command somehow...

The nice thing about the WoL pavilion is, like The Land, the pavilion itself is mostly open space, with the attractions situated in different buildings around the ring. I see no reason to tear down the domed structure. They can build any sized show building backstage and just allow entrance to it from inside the existing guest-facing space. Just like they did with Soarin'.
No one's gloomy or complaining while the flatware's entertaining.

Without tearing down the dome structure, they could build an updated Horizons within the old WoL pavillion. Convert the body wars simulators into the "Horizons One" shuttles going to the desert, under the sea, or into space (all three locations could possibly be handled by different groups of simulators. And as for ground space, behind WOL/Mission:Space/Test Track is a large parking lot. If they need more space, some parking spots could be lost to an expansion.

Except they should try and hide the attraction building a bit better than the big Hanger for Soarin'. There is spce behind the Pavillion to build an expansion, if needed, but that would be the cast member parking lot. Might be a bit tough to dig into that.

I can see WoL sitting there doing the same stuff for the next 5-10 years but that's just my faith in the TDO Staff.

Actually, I was wrong. The parking lot is behind Mission: Space and EPCOT, not Wonders of Life. There's an access road and a building behind Wonders of Life. Just checked an aerial photo I had of EPCOT to confirm it. However, Wonders of Life is larger than I thought - it's big enough to hold a ride more than I thought! It's as big as the other pavillions around it - the copper dome that we see is proverbially the tip of the iceberg!

Yes I've seen it. I've worked it. I dont see them building much behidn WoL but they did build Test Track into the backstage area behind WoM building. (which btw does get annoying after hearing it ALL the time when you're on your way to punch in)

Yeah you are right. Just went on google Earth to see that. The employee lot is what you see when you first go outside and hit that first turn around. I would say that whatever fits in the WoL building, would have to fit the building. There really is not much room to expand around it. Both sides are pretty close to other pavillions. The Universe of Energy to the left and Mission Space to the right. Behind it is the access road. I would agree that the size is comparable to to the other spaces. However, it does look slightly smaller next to Universe of Energy.

Note that you can tell that made the access road curve around the WOL, it does not look like the access road was originally designed that way - it was changed as a result of the WOL. Same could be said with everything behind it now. Look at the Fantasyland Expansion. There's a lot of background structures that will be torn down and rebuilt eleswhere in order to make room for the new Fantasyland. What's in the background behind the scenes is not necessarily permanent; it just makes it a more expensive project to relocate.

Great idea. I can't even imagine how well an updated Horizons would be received. WoL is such as waste now, so why not take this chance to have a "re-do" seeing that closing Horizons was a major snafu.

As I have said in previous posts, the square footage of WoL and Horizons are comparable. The shapes are obviously different, and a re-do of Horizons (New Horizons) inside the WoL building would need some adjustments, but it can physically fit...and would be a great idea.

I would like to "explore" too lol just never think about it when i'm there. Me and my brother plan on taking our own exploration trip to "River Country" sometime.

But Bodywars was fine to me but I know my parents NEVER liked it, to rough and they barely stood Star Tours. So I could see a lot of complaints from more of the older adult crowd complaining. Or maybe to many sick kids getting off and messy cleanup lol.

I was there last food & wine too, I was there late one night sitting in there pretty lit drinking wine from the nearby bar lol and reminisced about the place. IMO it was an excellent idea for a pavilion but imo by the time it opened no one wanted to have their bad choices in health and life come back and smack them in there face. If it opened with the park or shortly there after maybe would have lasted longer. I think it just wasn't something your general public wanted to know about.
