yep, I know, and it does happen.
over one Labor day weekend, there was a couple visiting someone staying at the Yacht and Beach. They put their baby in the smaller pool and there was an accident. No big deal, that pool was closed and cleaned. Then the crazy people put the baby in the main pool and it happened again. They had to close the whole thing for that Sunday. Can you imagine closing Storm-a-long Bay on Labor Day weekend ?@?@?@?@?

No I mean just the thought of it in there in the first place. It's like when you go to the bathroom in a work bathroom that is cleaned several times a day, you still put paper on the seat don't you. It has been proven that there are no bacteria on the seats it's just the fear of the rearend before you.

AFR- that's a nice way of putting it. I hope I don't have to deal with that while cleaning restrooms. Today I realised that I can't step into the restroom without doing a quick visual check on the paper towels and toilet paper. The other day I so wanted to change the paper towels by myself, but alas I was not working.

So - can we get you at my work? I swear they forget the towels half the time. Or when I was in college - paper towels? Sorry suckers - budget cuts.
And sounds like you're having some radio fun! I've had that before [wait - they were listening in? ooooh boy...], though not to that extent - sounds like you provided entertainment for the entire park. Don't worry, they really appreciated it. Always something new there it seems, thanks for the reports.

Yeah, well it's one thing to have other people with radios hearing your consversation, but then it's another when guests hear it. They were probably either laughing or rolling their eyes at how unprofessional we were(are). At least the managers got a good laugh instead of getting (too) upset. Sometimes I don't know what they're thinking of us when they're talking with us. The other a manager came in and said to one of my co-workers, "can i speak with you for a second" I was like, "ooh busted."
I think more than half the time, the soap dispensers at college were empty. But at WDW they're always more than halfway full.
So far, working has been relatively easy. The real test will be this weekend when the cheerleaders come in and try to take over the female restrooms. The managers said to study the guidemaps so we'll know what kind of food each restaurant serves.

Maybe I'm just not getting it . . . why would your manager want you to study the guidemaps so you know what kind of food each restaurant serves???Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:The real test will be this weekend when the cheerleaders come in and try to take over the female restrooms. Lion, I think you will find that those urges will be with you every time you visit WDW, even after your CP is over. My son still picks up trash around the pool and straightens chairs, etc., and his CP was over in 2003. Your training stays with you.Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:AFR- that's a nice way of putting it. If you think about it, the janitorial Cast Members have as much exposure to Disney Guests as anyone. They get asked all kinds of questions, from where are the restrooms, where can I find such and such, where can I get fresh fruit, etc. Guests think all CM's should be able to answer any question they have.lovesdisney44 wrote:Maybe I'm just not getting it . . . why would your manager want you to study the guidemaps so you know what kind of food each restaurant serves???Lion Sleeps Tonight wrote:The real test will be this weekend when the cheerleaders come in and try to take over the female restrooms.
