The longest wait ever for me was at Disneyland, geeeze must have been at least 20+ years ago when they first added Fantasmic. We saw it once then had bunch of family come in town and I wanted everyone to have a good seat (on blankets on the cement as I remember it) so around Noon I spread out my blankets and waited until dark for Fantasmic. Believe me, there were others waiting as well. Everyone had a great time that day at the park, and I didn't mind at all. So, I guess that would have been around a 8 hour wait??? But it was so cool to see everyones reaction to the show, I loved it!

When we were there earlier in the month. I tried to make sure that we waited under 30 minutes for each attraction. Longest wait times I saw was for Soarin' with a wait of over 100 minutes. Thankfully fast passes cut that down to about 25. ToT was also pretty bad with a fastpass. It was about a 20 minute wait.

Re: Longest queue wait
Soarin was probably the logest wait about 1.5 hours but we had a good time playing the interactive games on the way...

Re: Longest queue wait
Longest wait I ever had I think was Rocket Rods which was like 3 hours (line went all the way back to the Magic Shop). At WDW I have always gone during the slower seasons so I think the longest wait has only been about 20 mins.

Re: Longest queue wait
Did the rocket rods actually stay running those whole 3 hours you were waiting? It looked like such a cool ride but not very reliableWizzard419 wrote:Longest wait I ever had I think was Rocket Rods which was like 3 hours (line went all the way back to the Magic Shop). No, it was opening day, they broke down but they were not letting people leave with free front of the line passes. The plus side was that I was inside the building when the breakdown happened so it beat waiting out in the sun.

Re: Longest queue wait
I refuse to wait more than 20 or 30 minutes for any ride. That's why we always try to go during the off season, and always fastpass the major stuff. If we can't fastpass it, we won't do it... unless the standby wait is short. There are plenty of other fun things to do rather than stand in line all day. No ride is worth that.
....but that's just me.

Re: Longest queue wait
I remember I was there with family the first time I went and it was pouring rain. So we were stuck at the Norway pavillion and just rode Maelstrom over and over again, even had our own boat (just 3 of us) since no one else was in the area.

I think I would have braved the rain rather than ride over and over. Although having your own boat would be coolWizzard419 wrote:I remember I was there with family the first time I went and it was pouring rain. Re: Longest queue wait
It's really hard to imagine that the ride has a massive wait during the summer.

Re: Longest queue wait
I'm right there with you. I would rather not wait more than 20 minutes for a ride. I can't tell you the last time I rode Test Track, Mission Space, Soarin' or Peter Pan.Mousekedude wrote:I refuse to wait more than 20 or 30 minutes for any ride. Re: Longest queue wait
I once waited over an hour for the Maelstrom. It was our 1st trip to WDW & we did not know any better. It was in the heart of the summer, place was jam packed & everything took forever!Wizzard419 wrote:It's really hard to imagine that the ride has a massive wait during the summer.

Re: Longest queue wait
We typically do not wait in any line longer than 20 minutes either. But of course, it also depends if DH has a wheelchair or if he's braving it with only a cane. In recent times, the longest we've waited for a ride was 45-60 minutes for TSM.
We've seen some serious wait times though...when Rocket Rods was a novelty, we saw that line top 2 hours easy. At the AP preview for DCA, Soarin' and GRR both were pulling 4+ hour waits. (it was February, but close to 90 degrees)
Personally, I remember Grad Nite...every major ride had a minimum 2 hour wait! I rode all the Fantasyland attractions as walk ons. (this was before Peter Pan had it's sudden surge of popularity) Space Mountain was a 3 hour wait, Indy (which was brand new at the time) was a 4+ hour wait with the queue wrapped halfway through the park it seemed. Matterhorn was 3 hours, and so on. The only major ride that wasn't a huge wait was Big Thunder Mountain. I think it had broken down and just re-opened when I passed by there and it only had a 15 minute wait. NOS was so crowded that I didn't even bother going over there.
