I'm hoping the crowds won't be too bad. I did a little research on crowds for April. Someone who has WAY too much time on his hands (but I'm very thankful he did this) took the time to contact hundreds of schools to find out when they are closed for spring break. K-12 and colleges and the bulk of them, but not all, east of the Mississippi. Seems like it may not be too, too crowded!Amy wrote:Just remember to take some during the daytime while braving the crowds as I completely forgotdichuy wrote:I'm excited to see what has been accomplished in April. Trust me, it will be busy. Not as bad as summer or winter but busier than a regular week at WDW.dichuy wrote:I'm hoping the crowds won't be too bad. I did a little research on crowds for April. It's probably that big because they are planning on topping it off with a smaller version of Beast's Castle with a forced perspective so it looks bigger than it is and if it was lower than they plan, it could ruin the look. That and the fact that one of the dining areas is going to be the ball room where Belle and Beast danced in the movie and that room is HUGE.Mousekedude wrote: Don't know why they need a 2-story building for the B and the B restaurant, but I guess they do that a lot actually... gives them places to add extra office space and what-not. Thanks again.

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
Yeah, I'm prepared mentally. The last 6 trips have been in January during non-holiday weeks so anything will seem crowded compared to that. I just don't want to have 3+ hour long lines for everything. Since I'm not the average visitor I'm not too worried as there are many things we don't ride at all. We spend a lot of time sitting eating, and watching, and eating hehe. Or listening to music the parks offer. I'm happy to get in at opening, do a few rides, then spend middle of the days doing my own thing. We also like to eat at unusual times so that will help. Dinner time in NYC is 8-9pm so we usually have lunch around 2-3 so I think that will work to our advantage. Thanks for the heads-up though. This will be only April trip I think--just have to spend ONE actual birthday at the Magic Kingdom!MadEye wrote:Trust me, it will be busy. hmm very interesting. Good to see a lot of progress has taken place on the Mermaid attraction and BOG buildings. Still a lot of open space that needs to be filled in.mkfan1992 wrote:So here is an updated aerial photo for 2011.. ...looks like things are coming along...

They've got time, Len90. Remember, the earliest it's suppose to open is in 2012! Could be 2013 as well. Be patient, grasshopper.

LOL I honestly thought we would have seen another vertical structure starting up to maybe provide some more insight as to what is actually going on with this expansion.mindflipper wrote:They've got time, Len90. Give it time, grasshopper. Remember, the plans have changed after the expansion was announced, so I bet the revisions pushed the timetable back a bit.Len90 wrote:LOL I honestly thought we would have seen another vertical structure starting up to maybe provide some more insight as to what is actually going on with this expansion.mindflipper wrote:They've got time, Len90. Not to mention there is no word of those revisions being finalized yet.mindflipper wrote:Give it time, grasshopper. Good point, MadEye! Those revisions have been very secretive. I wonder if/when they're going to be announced?

Oh, they'll be announced. The million dollar question is: When?mindflipper wrote:Good point, MadEye! Those revisions have been very secretive. I wonder if/when they're going to be announced?

Re: Fantasyland Expansion...
I honestly thought we would have had some leak already, but Disney seems to have been more secretive than usual. I think we should hear about that maybe around Spring when things are in full swing. I am actually more surprised about how there has been no news on monorail twelve. It was supposed to have been running by the holidays.MadEye wrote:Oh, they'll be announced. I hope it's sooner than that as we all know TTF will be shut by mid February.Len90 wrote:I think we should hear about that maybe around Spring when things are in full swing.
Pure speculation and rumor.Len90 wrote:I am actually more surprised about how there has been no news on monorail twelve. It was supposed to have been running by the holidays.
