Wheel of Fortune just finished a Disney week and their main prize was a trip to WDW complete with a stay in the Castle Suite, so like Soarin' said, it looks like it is still used for promotions.theBIGyowski wrote:Speaking of the Castle Suite...
Is it still used today? I know it was used during the Year of a Million Dreams as a giveaway to chosen families...but is it still used?

I checked out the River Country video & Wonders of life...seemed harmless, (and incredibly boring)kcarts wrote:Here is his youtube collection... seems pretty harmless to me....

And the video where he talks about being banned.....

Are there really many others like this lurking in the "employees only" areas of Disney? No idea, but the only reason disney was aware was when the news showed up and asked for comment. Considering the large number of unlocked doors and lacking security cameras outside of guest and merch areas (since it would be silly to guard an empty building) you could probably do the same and not get caught.

You aren't owed ANYTHING. Disney is above all else a business and like all other businesses in this world, there are things that go on behind the scenes that are restricted to the people who work there. It's like they can't STAND it. That was a big problem prior to New Fantasyland. "I'm an annual passholder. I DESERVE to get to see all this first!" No you don't, you have to wait your turn like everyone else.cy1229 wrote:Have you ever noticed that people seem to have a sense of entitlement when it comes to Disney? Kind of like "I paid all this money for my vacation, I have the right to do/see/be where I want, when I want, and how I want."
Get over yourselves, people.
BRAVO!!! Well stated Soarin08.

If the local news didn't pick it up and allowed it to make a national human interest story, would they have?

A lifetime ban? Yikes. But a slap on the wrist? Perhaps if you were a guest roaming the guest halls of a resort you weren't staying at, but not full on trespassing of closed off restricted areas - documenting it, no less.
I do hope for his sake they reconsider.. but in the end..

I certainly hope they don't reconsider. He deserves it.TTA Traveler wrote:A lifetime ban? Yikes. But a slap on the wrist? Perhaps if you were a guest roaming the guest halls of a resort you weren't staying at, but not full on trespassing of closed off restricted areas - documenting it, no less.

In fact we had another trespasser this morning... Orange County was on his butt quicker than you could blink. Tailed the guy all the way to a backstage area on Main Street. It's sick what people think they can do.
