That's nice that you are so close! I've been watching with envy as our very own rdeacon is going more and more since moving there just a few weeks ago!

Luckily, I have DLR very close by and the internet to keep me informed on changes and new attractions at WDW. I normally end up planning based on when a new addition should be up and (hopefully bugs worked out) running, along with time of year. No more Summer trips for me now that school vacations are done. Whew  that's me burning up, 8-)
Sounds like you are crushed to have to visit, but not in the summer ;)

 Very, very crushed. My biggest problem(?!) is that these last few years, I've been doing some other big trips overseas, so my Disney trips have been put on the back burner. S'ok, this way, when I do get back, Fantasyland and whatever they so to Test Track, will be finished. But boy, much as I envy others living close to WDW, that Summer weather would do me in. Yikes, the humidity! We get humid in CA, but nothing like the East Coast.

Yup, the humidity is something fierce out this way. I almost had to swim to my car today  It always amuses me when we have almost 100% but it's not raining ~ I have never figured that one out yet :?

:D Exactly, I feel as though I'm breathing in more H2O than O! I'll watch for sales out this way and send you a snorkle if you think it would help you  Plus, my always lovely hairstyle gets absolutely frizztastic in that weather.

A snorkle ~ that's a fabulous idea
Hair styles, yeah, I'm always a bit shocked when I see myself in a mirror in this humid weather. It's a wonder none of my students ever say anything. Their parents must have taught them that golden rule of "if you can't say anything nice..."

I try to go every other year, more freqently if possible. I hate flying, so when I do go, I have to make the long drive from Ohio! It's worth it though.

How do the cm's that work out in it all day still have a nice friendly attitude with all the guests? Do you ever get used to it?
