If that were a problem, they would ban people coming back from Typhooon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach from taking the bus! They definitely leave the seats wet!Wizzard419 wrote:I think they kind of would like/require you to stay at your own hotel's pool but don't enforce the rule with an iron fist. If I recall, even DLR's pools don't require room cards to use them.
I think the reason might not be so much about mooching but rather having soggy people taking transportation.

Stormalong bay has gotten VERY strict with pool hopping. You now need a room key for each person in your party. In previous years it was one room key was good for a group. The guards at the top of the slide are trained to look for the wristband to ensure you are not using that as an entrance to the pool. I'm kind of shocked you were able to even get invited. They are very strict about letting any CMs into the pool unless they are physically guests at the resort.Soarin08 wrote:Not much anymore, most of them ask for a room key, especially the nice ones such as Stormalong Bay. I agree with it too. If you want to use those amenities so bad, cough up the money and pay to stay there, my opinion.Amy wrote: Aren't you allowed as a Disney hotel guest to use the other pools? I could see them not wanting people that are staying off property to come and use the facilities for free, but I would think it would be ok to use another resort's pool...On my last program, one of my roommates was a lifeguard and had a friend who worked Stormalong Bay, and we were invited to use the pool, but we never did because we felt guilty using something that guests have to show a room key to use themselves. Just because we were invited to do so didn't mean we were going to take advantage of it.

I went camping at WDW and tell my friends just that. I took my little tent and froze be behind offWizzard419 wrote:I wonder if people who camp at WDW tell their friends they went camping or just to WDW?
I have friends who go glamping (think old school safari style camping where it's the 4 seasons but you are in the wild and your massive room is still there but it's now a giant tent) and they tried to claim they were roughing it.

This person had gotten permission to invite us from a manager, but we still didn't go.Len90 wrote:Stormalong bay has gotten VERY strict with pool hopping.
