That's actually kind of wierd that they want $50 for them and they are pre-order (at least as the blog thinks). I would imagine they are not cut freehand and may even be molded into that shape.

Re: Cute Disney foods!
They do look like they are made in a mold, but then they have to do the decorating. Plus, when you figure a rice krispie brick goes for about $5 then the $50 price tag isn't too far off. I wouldn't ever buy one, but as the article said, I wouldn't turn it down if it showed up at my door.Wizzard419 wrote:That's actually kind of wierd that they want $50 for them and they are pre-order (at least as the blog thinks). Re: Cute Disney foods!
I think they are using at least a cutter to do with overall shape since someone commented they previously sold the giant heads undecorated. The reason that the small brick goes for 5 is that they also have to factor in throwing out the ones that no one buys, since these are only made to order and out of the same raw material you're still paying that premium.

I don't think I could eat something I paid $50 for...I'd want to hang in in a frame or put it on the hood of my car.

I would be a glad volunteer to help them dispose of the unwanted ones...I wonder if I would get tired of them or not if I had a lot of them?!Wizzard419 wrote:I think they are using at least a cutter to do with overall shape since someone commented they previously sold the giant heads undecorated. Did you see the price tag on those?!? For that, you could feed a family of four for that...Amy wrote:Oh my goodness, these giant rice krispie treat heads were in the latest issue of the Disney Food Blog...all I can say is WOW!
