We could give him food poisioning, but that's cheating. His goal is to make the mechanim make him ill.mindflipper wrote:...or have him eat somewhere that will give him massive indigestion to start with...
I think they have a crew that has been trained to properly sanitize the ride after any protein spills. You know Disney - they have documentated procedures for everything. Do we have any CM's out there that can find this out for us?Wizzard419 wrote:I think I am more grossed out that they don't have a hose and drain, that means there is a residue of vomit.

My husband said that I probably would not like the feeling of being closed in. I trust his judgement and don't want to try it. It would be really embarassing if I started getting panicked and then would have to be taken off the ride.
My husband did say that, similar to what was said above, that the warnings are the worst part. The first time he rode it, he tried as hard as he could not to blink because the last thing the CM said before closing them up was, "Whatever you do, DON'T close your eyes!"
That does make sense to have some food in your tummy, but give it some time to digest as Len suggested...
They are not far in front of you, you would be able to reach them easily enough. The question is whether you could reach them in timeWizzard419 wrote:I wonder how hard it is to reach and use the vomit bags in the ride?
I've wondered that too. They seem to be far enough away and (if I remember correctly?) shut in a compartment that I wonder how often someone actually gets to one and uses it when the situation arises.Amy wrote:They are not far in front of you, you would be able to reach them easily enough. Orange side is weak as it is and I feel like they've toned it down even more over the years. Just follow the instructions and you'll be a-okay. Why wouldn't you listen to Gary Sinese anyway? What's wrong with people? He was in The Stand.
Seriously though I think the Tea Cups can be much, much worse than Mission Space achieves with its current settings. I don't know if we can get that little cup to spin faster than Mission:Space but what I do know is there's a lot of color spinning around you really fast in the tea cups and that's what tends to cause the most disorientation. Mission Space effectively masks your spinning as long as you look straight ahead (which again, not sure why you would really want to look immediately left or right, all you'd see is the restraints. The less you look side to side the less disoriented you should feel.
If you've ever been on a gravitron type ride where you stick to the wall and they drop the floor a few inches so you aren't toudching the ground (basically at any carnival/amusement park) you've effectively ridden Mission Space:Extreme Edition. M:S does the exact same thing it's just the provide you with the illusion that you're not spinning but instead going full speed ahead. The "liftoff" can be a little extreme though again I think they've toned it down. I think the roughest part is the slingshot around the surface of the moon and that only lasts like 3 seconds.
You feel more extreme G's on Jurassic Park at IOA I think. That drop is way more brutal on the stomach/other assorted internal organs shifting inside your body.
I think you are correct about it being tones down a lot since it was first opened. The opening day attraction was even toned down from the original soft opening that I had ridden. The liftoff is still kind of intense, but not nearly as rough as it once was. As for the slingshot, that has also been dialed down a lot from the opening. I do think it got less intense when they decided to form green and orange teams.Mr.ToadWildRider wrote:Just go right to orange if you don't get motion sick.
