Wait! Wait a second! MadEye only confirmed the date the attraction re-opens. He did not confirm that the attraction is reverting back to its original show format. Any rumor is still just a rumor at this point.

...only if it's "official" from Disney, but not because of a rumor.

I'm not jumping to any conclusions until it is opened and there is confirmation from people. Disney is going to be very secretive about this so we might not find out much until the very end.

I completely agree, Len90. Unless I see something from Disney or pics posted from the ETR, I won't believe it.

There are no walls around Tiki Room. That, to me, says it is staying the same. Now if there were walls, I'd consider it a possibility but wouldn't hold my breath. Heck, TDO didn't want to spend the money for some things Star Tours 2 will be getting at DL. What makes you think they would pay for an old new Tiki room?
We are all a little weird
And life's a little weird,
And when we find someone whose
Weirdness is compatible with ours,
We join up with them and fall in
Mutual weirdness and call it Love.”

Now that I can believe! WDW mgmt. seems incredibly cheap compared to DLR. I couldn't see them spending a nickel to re-do ETR (or spend any $ for the 40th anniversary either).

Minus the Offenbach sequence... :( But I am sooo glad that DL still has the original. The entire attraction got digital upgrades and updated animatronics (since they were constantly broken) for the 50th. I remember when it was closed for so long there were many rumors flying about what they were doing. We were so relieved when it reopened and it was basically the same show! I have always loved ETR...too bad one of my fave lines is no longer said in the attraction (see my signature).

If I ever get back to DLR, I will have to add to the list of rides/attractions to do...

I'm sad to hear that the Tikis will be closed when we're there in May - but very happy to hear the rumour. If it happens, one could say that the Tiki Goddess finally had the last word.
