Disney begins work on 12th Monorail?

So it looks like they are in the process of creating the 12th Monorail. They are re-using the other good cars from Pink and Purple and building brand new cabs. How do I know? While driving past Monorail Shop many times last week, the Monorail was sticking out the door and still had the "celebrate" balloons still on the windows. Slightly disturbing, IMO.

Were there any signs of the color (new color or old Purple stripe) or finished end cars yet?

Keep in mind the middle cars of Purple were not damaged at all during the incident. I do think that it is a bit awkward that they still have the balloons on it. Were they on the end cars or middle cars? Please share all that you know with us!

The middle cars from Pink and Purple without the cabs and the color stripe(s) were gone. So that would be 4 cars with the two cabs missing sitting in the Monorail Shop at the moment.

Oh okay so that would be 2, 3, 4, and 5 from Purple. Is there any way you can get a picture of it the next time it is outside? I would think that the new front cars are due to be arrriving in the coming days as they have announced that they hope to have the 12th one back up and running around the holidays.

Hmm seems like it took a few months longer than Disney first intended it to. Nice to hear that the fleet will be complete once again. I'm just not to sure I'm a fan of the color. I'll be looking for a blank train next week. Hoping catch a glimpse of it!

Not sure if anyone cares to look at a bad concept drawing, but I posted one over at my site. You can go to www.interactivewdw.com and read it in the featured articles section on the main page. I just photoshopped a peach color over another monorail, just to get an idea of what it might look like. I'm no expert, so it is pretty bad, at least when zoomed in. Sorry!

They were taken out in July to have the painted cones re-painted and have the wraps peeled off of them.
