Had another one the other night that was very interesting.
There was a new ride at one of the parks (which one wasn't really clear). We got into cars that were kinda like the ones at the GMR, but we started out by facing the wall of a large haunted house, in a gloomy twighlight sort-of atmosphere. As the cars started moving, the wall opened up to a totally pitch black interior, and after some twists and turns in the dark, we ended up on the second floor, which was fairly well lit. We were expected to get out and explore the house, and solve mysteries as we found them. The kitchen had real food and dishes etc. on the counters, and the other rooms had everything set up like a real house from the turn of the century (early 1900's). The idea was to try to figure out how all the "ghostly" occurrences were being done, sorta like a Nancy Drew or Hardy Boys mystery (or even Scooby Doo) where you are led to think that it is supernatural, but in the end there is always a logical scientific explanation.
One example was that in the kitchen, all kinds of food and utensils were laid out on one of the counters, and there was even a coffee pot brewing. As I looked at all of it, trying to figure out what the mystery was, I turned my head to say "hey, sweetie, check this out..." to my wife, and in the two seconds that it took to do that, when I looked back, the coffee pot was gone! "Oh wow, that was weird," I thought. I glanced over to see if my wife was coming, and in that one second glance, more stuff disappeared! So I thought, "oh, I get it, I have to figure out how the stuff is disappearing..." So I examined everything very carefully and couldn't figure it out. Every time I would glance away, even for a split second, something else would disappear (hmmmm.... now that I think about it, Jacca was probably there, and he was hungry... just kidding).
Anyway, continuing on with the dream, I could not figure out how in the world it was being done. I finally gave up and walked around to some other room. In there, you could hear voices coming from the walls and ceiling, and they seemed to be communicating with guests who were there. I figured that one out: there was a CM posing as a guest, and she had a hidden microphone and controls just like what they use for the talking trash can at MK. As time went on, I realized the the whole thing was set up that way: there were CM's everywhere, posing as guests, and they were able to manipulate things so well because they had special remote controls to operate different things, and the reason it was so effective is because they were mingling with the other guests and could watch peoples eyes and hear the things they said so effectively that they could make it seem like the house was really haunted, and cause things to happen to individual guests in completely different ways than with other guests. The mysteries and occurrences were always changing, and that's what made it so much fun. It was always different, so it was none of that "oh, I've been on that ride, so I know what the secrets are."
Anyway, that was one of the coolest and most detailed Disney dreams I've ever had.
