wow.. looks likes it's just about done. probably just detail work and testing before the soft openings and such... since the "official" word is just Spring 2006, I'd say early Spring, like late March - mid April as the official opening date...

Ok - the opening dates are April 6 [happy b-day to me] thru the 8th. That is when the big press event is being held. Not quite sure how the early testing will be but the recent rumors of "right after new years" would be right for 3 months of testing with live subjects... Once again www.wdwmagic.com has the scoop and you can find the logo and more there. Not long now!

I hear you, the sooner the better since I'm going mid-Jan. and would really like to see it open, even better to have had it open since Dec. so a few weeks of guinea pigs get to ride before me! No doubt once they do start we'll hear about it...

All the news about Expedition Evererst is so exciting! I really can't wait to see it in person. This is just the boost AK needs. That video is fantastic and I love the Insider article. Those little water jugs that get to ride it over and over must be so happy and thrilled!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

Besides waiting to ride I'm waiting to see what they do for an opening! Who will be the big celeb they get to open it? What kind of celebrations will they have? And will they have a contest to be one of the first to ride?

Im working on a project for WDW about Everest, we officially shoot the ride in a few weeks. Both onboard and aerials. Yesterday I got to see some of the WDI camera mounts of the ride. Looks like this one is a winner. Too bad the camera's auto iris was on, couldn't see any of the inside of the mountain. But the hills and the switch track are cool. The theming and the amount of nature is unbelievable.. I can't wait to ride this a billion times. They are in the process of test and adjust as well as getting their 30 day certification. And yes WDI members have ridden it. They still won't tell me about the yetti..
