But, it's the easiest, most cost effective way to do it. And with Eisner's leadership running the budget, they'll do what works...

And we see where cheap gets 'em, the new Imagination ride that Kodak hated [and I don't think they're still all that pleased with the new one] was a huge money loser by trying to go cheap on the ride, and then rebuilding it twice. That couldn't have been good for the bottom line. The cheapest move of all would have been to give it a solid rehab and keep Dreamfinder and Figment together.

Why do I feel like I'm going to be disappointed with EPCOT when I go to WDW in October?

Well, Future World is still nice in many parts [Spaceship Earth, UE-EEA, The Land if they don't mess with it too much] and World Showcase has actually improved quite a bit in the last few years, more entertainment, new movie in China, etc. Just brace yourself for a few changes...

I think the original Imagination ride was the best. You can't touch the Dreamfinder and Figment. The upstairs playground (which is still there collecting dust) was the best, the new one is a glorified gift shop. Test track is cool, but didn't need to replace World of Motion.. You could have both for the GM pavilion. Horizons is our generations Carousel of Progress and never needed to be taken down. Mission: Space is a great ride but in my opinion is in the wrong park. The new Universe of Energy is, in my opinion, a complete waste of time. The thing I miss most about Epcot is Laserphonic Fanstasy

Same here. It is a really good update - the old ride was dull but Ellen and Bill Nye [along with Alex and the Jeopardy theme] brought it to life.

I liked the old Imagination ride a lot more then the new one. It seems like Disney is trying to make the rides simplier to make maintenance easier. In other words, Disney is loosing it's Imagination.

Maybe, just maybe, Disney World should quit taking rides out to add new ones and simply add new ones.
