The Main Street Bakery Starbucks queue did move pretty good when I was there on Aug 23rd, about 11 AM in the morning...

I'm glad the doubleboilers are looking forward to having Starbucks. I know others are excited as well. I just don't drink coffee so it won't affect me one way or another, although I'm betting I will have to stand in line to get something for Figment on our next trip

I am surprised you won't be drinking the hot chocolate or iced tea or fruit beverages. If they serve them there.

Re: Refurbishment News
I have an aversion to paying for beverages when I can happily drink water for free instead. I had a hot chocolate from Starbucks once, I wasn't impressed. We would probably be getting the refillable mugs so that would be my limit for paying for beverages anyhow!Wizzard419 wrote:I am surprised you won't be drinking the hot chocolate or iced tea or fruit beverages. I hear ya Amy! I grind my own beans and make my coffee at home. I only treat myself once in a while to a latte, that stuff adds up!!!

I have to agree. I make my own coffee. I look at it as paying a lot of money for a fist full of coffee beans with hot water poured through them.

Good to hear you haven't 100% been converted to the "pay a whole lot of money for an overpriced coffee drink" people!Goofyfan wrote:boilerbabe wrote:I hear ya Amy! I grind my own beans and make my coffee at home. I only treat myself once in a while to a latte, that stuff adds up!!!

Yea, latte's are just a few and far between treat. Also, using a French Press for coffee is divine.

I am generally not a coffee drinker, but would probably enjoy one of Starbucks fancy mocha drinks. Disney would be one place where I just might splurge on something like this...especially for a pick-me-up treat after a long day in the park.boilerbabe wrote:I hear ya Amy! Re: Refurbishment News
Since we are talking about starbucks, I thought this would be the spot to drop some new news about more Starbucks locations coming to Disney World.
WDWMAGIC is reporting that there will be two Starbucks locations in Downtown Disney. Here is the excerpt:
"The next two Starbucks locations at Walt Disney World are now confirmed to be at Downtown Disney. The first will be in the West Side, taking up the space currently occupied by Wetzel's Pretzels and Haagen Dazs Ice Cream. Both Wetzel's Pretzels and Haagen Dazs will continue to operate with new kiosks located near to Disney Quest.
The second Downtown Disney Starbucks location will be a kiosk near to World of Disney in the Marketplace area.
Starbucks at Downtown Disney has been expected since the announcement of Disney Springs, but the construction of the new Starbucks location is now planned to begin in October 2013."

The Jungle Cruise is currently being refurbished. It looks a bit extensive from the picture posted below. This picture was taken by a professional Disney photographer yesterday. Don't worry, the photographer was allowed to post the image.

My whole family are big coffee drinkers - especially for those early magic hours morning! And actually what we did last trip since we were so sick of having to run all around the parks just to get a decent cup of coffee.....we brought our own ground coffee - good stuff - and then also brought along disposable to-go cups, so we could make a pot of coffee - everyone could grab a cup to-go - and then we were on our way! And since we used disposable cups - we didn't have to worry about having to carry our cups around the park with us! Saves lots of money - everyone gets their coffee fix right away in the morning and more time to enjoy the parks! It worked out wonderfully and I think we will do it again in November!
