I don't care what they do to it...as long as it is creative and brings out the "Imagination" theme in a way that draws you in and makes you want to go back every single time to Epcot. That is something that pavilion needs...desperately.

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
Yes, I get what you are saying.... however my point was that a cartoon like that is just as short lived as Rollie Pollie Ollie, Darkwing Duck, Goof Troop, Duck Tales etc etc. And making a ride based on a little children's cartoon would not be what a lot of people want to see. Figment is a character, but an important icon of EPCOT.Wizzard419 wrote:Because it is more popular and recognizable than Figment is?cousininmiami wrote:Great news to have an update.... but super bad news to include Phinius and Ferb! Who would want that?? I don't recall them putting Rollie Pollie Ollie in a ride 15 years ago when that was a popular Disney kids cartoon? I'm just sayin'They want to also connect the park to the rest of the company, figment is pretty much dead outside of the confines of that ride, there is a little merch but not much.
Maybe I don't get it because I don't have little children anymore

I am going to be a Grandma times 2 coming up soon!! Our Son (in the Air Force) and his wife having their first baby at the end of December and our middle Son and his wife will have their first baby next March! So, as my youngest Son becomes a Senior this year in High School... I start all over again!!
We are beyond excited!!!!

So maybe that Phineas and Ferb might be nice in a few years for me after all!

P.S. We don't know yet boys or girls... just hoping for healthy babies! But seriously, Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique and the Pirates Adventure... OMG Yay!!! I will be the Disney Spoiling Grandma!

They don't let the franchises die out as swiftly as they did in the 90's, they learned they can have the characters keep going through different age groups. Similar to how dora the explorer has aged, they will probably take a similar route with their own shows if they have enough viewers.

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
It definitely needs some Imagination! Count me among those hoping against a Phineas and Ferb incarnation. We don't have cable, and I personally have never seen the show, nor do I really have any interest in seeing it, much less in an attraction. Come on Imagineers, dig into those brains and come up with an original. Dreamfinder and Figment were great, you can do it again!theBIGyowski wrote:I don't care what they do to it...as long as it is creative and brings out the "Imagination" theme in a way that draws you in and makes you want to go back every single time to Epcot. CONGRATS cousininmiami!!!!
I don't hate on Phineas and Ferb, but can't say I watch it either. I would SOOOO LOVE for Disney to bring back the Dreamfinder with Figgy!!! I won't be sad to see Capt. EO go, that's for sure!

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
if they really want to make a Phineas and Ferb attraction, there is an entire pavilion just screaming to be used! Update Imagination, yes, take Figment out no! The only thing I can see happening with Phineas and Ferb at the Imagination pavilion would be a movie to replace Capt. Eo. That way when they do fade away, something else can replace it once again.

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
I'm torn on this one. I would hate to see Figment leave but I think he may be outdated, sadly. Phineas and Ferb has actually been around for a few years now and is liked by kids and adults. The show is all about using your imagination so it would fit really well in that pavilion if it is done well. I don't think a standard dark ride with AA's is going to work. I think it really needs to be an immersive ride like a Spider-Man or Transformers in order for it to be very popular. If not, it will probably be changed again within 5 years. I just don't see Disney laying out the money for it.

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
I doubt they could go the "Spider-Man" route because they'll want to keep it tame enough for small kids because a lot of the tame rides/attractions have been removed over the years.

Am I the only one that thinks Figgy and the Dreamfinder should be reintroduced?! I sometimes feel like the classic Disney is being lost.

In a group of fanboys? Probably not, compared to the dominate population of the parks? Yes, you are alone.

I think that would be a good idea, Disney doesn't though.boilerbabe wrote:Am I the only one that thinks Figgy and the Dreamfinder should be reintroduced?! I sometimes feel like the classic Disney is being lost.

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
Limited public interest, setting a pile of money on fire would have a better ROI, etc.

Re: Imagination Pavilion News
If done the right way...Figment and Dreamfinder would be awesome. The problem is that we have seen several attempts to shoehorn Figment into Epcot...and the majority of refurbs/renovations have been a disgrace.
So...if I were a betting man...I wouldn't put much stock in the current Imagineers + TDO being able to successfully keep Figment and especially Dreamfinder in any kind of renovation.
