Speaking of, it's been almost 20 years since they have filmed anything for the format, hasn't it?

It was so much fun. One of my favorite phrases is from NineEye ~ I'm blending, I'm blending, I am not blending inSharonofwindham wrote:I absolutely LOVED the TimekeeperAmy wrote:I do miss the Timekeeper attractionkosmosworld wrote:I think they update the MK enough to where you shouldn't be bored. I usually like tradition. So some of the attractions that have closed I really miss.
I liked the Tomorrowland time traveler. They replaced it with the Laugh Floor. I can see why, but I thought the 360 view was pretty awesome too.
The Alien encounter was pretty good too, and they switched that to Stitch's escape. I think that was to get it more appropriate for younger kids.
They obviously don't go backwards when they make changes, but I guess it would be boring if there were nothing new.I didn't care for the monsters laugh floor this past trip, but I know a lot of people like it so...yeah, some change is necessary.
. Really going to miss it! Gotta love time travel

I'm with you Amy, I can see where the kids, love the interactive stuff. But I still recall a breathtaking view (from 9-Eye's perspective) during the Ice Age. I literally felt like I was flying over the mountains. LONG LIVE 9-EYE!!!

I don't think I could ever get bored with the MK....I am almost 50 years old and I have been going to WDW since I was 13....I love it even more now.

That looks like it would be fun. Do you know where you start the adventures? Is it like Kim Possible and many people can be playing at the same time?MadEye wrote:So this opened to guests for the first time today. Here's a video for those interested.

The video looks like it started at the Fire station on Main Street. And I wouldn't know the answer to your second question as I haven't done this... yet.Amy wrote:That looks like it would be fun. Re: Are you bored with the MK???
it is supposed to start wherever the randomizer starts you, then it directs you to the low-volume areas... not a static beginning/end... this is supposed to help with guest flow through the park like the 'random' street shows...(dispatched from central to move some crowds away from long waits and crowded lanes of traffic
if you are interested in how i know this...

Interesting! Although I hate to see the merchandise at the Fire Station go. I hope they move the merchandise to the Emporium if they do end up changing the Fire Station into the headquarters for this new interactive game.dstrawn9889 wrote:it is supposed to start wherever the randomizer starts you, then it directs you to the low-volume areas... not a static beginning/end... this is supposed to help with guest flow through the park like the 'random' street shows...(dispatched from central to move some crowds away from long waits and crowded lanes of traffic

Re: Are you bored with the MK???
Tried this today. It's a fun little game. Only thing I don't like is that it isn't in Tomorrowland. We talked to some other guests who've done this a lot and they have gathered up a lot of cards (you can keep them when you leave the park) and there have been trades between other guests (like pins) for doubles of whatever they may have. Another interesting thing is that you get 5 cards a visit (limit one visit a day) and can build up your own card collection. We'll be heading out again tomorrow and see exactly how this works.

Re: Are you bored with the MK???
I've seen a few reviews of this game so far. It looks like it would be fun if you were a repeat visitor and didn't mind taking the time. I wonder how long it will be before the cards start showing up on ebay?MadEye wrote:Tried this today. It's a fun little game. Only thing I don't like is that it isn't in Tomorrowland. Another thing I forgot to mention (thank you for reminding me with that thought, Amy), it is free. I doubt Disney will let any auctions on ebay go through as no one pays money for this game in the park to begin with.Amy wrote:I wonder how long it will be before the cards start showing up on ebay?MadEye wrote:Tried this today. Re: Are you bored with the MK???
I don't know that they could stop it. People sell other things that they get for free ~ commemorative buttons, park maps...I bet the cards will be on there...Plus, haven't they mentioned something about selling the packs of cards in the stores at some point?MadEye wrote:Another thing I forgot to mention (thank you for reminding me with that thought, Amy), it is free. Re: Are you bored with the MK???
Meh. If someone is really into this and they really want a card, they can always trade with someone who has a double of it. There were many guests who had some pretty thick stacks of cards and they all mentioned trading for others like it's no big deal. Chances are that the ones who would be willing to pay would be the ones who don't really make it out to the parks all that often and don't know about being able to trade with other guests.Amy wrote:I don't know that they could stop it. And I've not heard anything about selling the cards.

Re: Are you bored with the MK???
UPDATE: There are at least three levels to "master" for this. There are eight games (three in Adventureland, two in Fantasyland, two in Frontierland/Liberty Square and one on Main Street). Once you've completed all eight you master the level you are on (they are the same games after you master your level, they just get a lot harder and you have to pay more attention than before). You can go to one of the stations (there are two as of now. One on Main Street and one in Liberty Square) and get five new cards to use. You can also get another five the same day if you complete all eight games in the park. I would assume that if you mastered a level twice in the same day (from what I hear, it should take about four hours to master a level), you can get 15 new cards that visit (two new "packs" for mastering your level and one for a next day visit).
