Yeah...problem is Joe Rohde touted how great the engineering was on it...that the Yeti had its own foundation. It's like saying the Titanic was so large it would never sink...only to have it end up at the bottom of the ocean.Wizzard419 wrote:The ripping of the track is a different section. I can kind of see the yeti being damaged by it's own movement, that thing has a lot of force and since it is directly connected to the foundation, there is nothing else to displace it on.

Besides Countdown/Dinosaur, I would like to see renovated: JII over at EPCOT, and the IJ Stunt Show. I've seen it enough, give us something different. I would like to see something like IJ-TOFE from DLR in its place.

I completely agree on the IJ Stunt Show. That has been there a looooooooong time. We are ready for something new!mindflipper wrote:Besides Countdown/Dinosaur, I would like to see renovated: JII over at EPCOT, and the IJ Stunt Show. I've seen it enough, give us something different. Good call. It doesn't seem like it would be ridiculously expensive or difficult to freshen that show up a little bit.Amy wrote:I completely agree on the IJ Stunt Show. Not the reason Titanic was touted as "practically unsinkable." And it wasn't even the owners or builders that said it either. It was newspapers and sailing magazines.theBIGyowski wrote:Yeah...problem is Joe Rohde touted how great the engineering was on it...that the Yeti had its own foundation. I feel your pain! It had been 10 years since our last trip before we were lucky enough to go this past December! The good news is that not a lot had changed in those 10 years...the bad news was that not a lot had changed in those 10 yearsAVITWeb wrote:Someone help!! Do you at least have a trip planned?

I think I've seen 5-6 times - I just can't sit through it any more. It's like they never made 4 films, only the one (the first film).northernmousefan2007 wrote:Good call. It doesn't seem like it would be ridiculously expensive or difficult to freshen that show up a little bit.
Re: Rides That Need To Be Renovated
I think that's not the only problem with the AAs of CBJ - on my last trip to WDW (sadly, that one was in 2006) I did CBJ twice on two days, and both times there were problems with the AAs. The first time, there was a malfunction of some of the bears at the end, the second time most of them broke down in the middle of the show...MoonPet wrote: Country Bear Jamboree needs to be repaired! Several of the bears' eyes don't go back to the center position, so you end up with a very funny effect with different varities of the bear looking in two directions at once. I wish I was able to snap a picture. I was cracking up the whole time.

Did the show keep going with the working AAs or did it shut down?Arvorenn wrote:I think that's not the only problem with the AAs of CBJ - on my last trip to WDW (sadly, that one was in 2006) I did CBJ twice on two days, and both times there were problems with the AAs. I was there in Sept of 2010 and the AA's looked to be in decent shape. Of course I was sitting near the back though...so I didn't get a close-up look.

Re: Rides That Need To Be Renovated
I was there in August, 2010 when I noticed the eye issues. It was during EMH and it was nearly 2:00 am. I was in the theater along with one other family of 3. Really, I had the perfect opportunity to snap photos of the lazy eyed bears and didn't take advantage of it. Bonnie, Bubbles, and Beula (I think those are their names) had the worst of it along with Henry in his coonskin cap.

I didn't really notice anything too out of place when we were there in December. I'll have to take a closer look at my pictures of the finale...

Re: Rides That Need To Be Renovated
I wish that Disney would either renovate or put in a new item in each park, each year. That way, all the old stuff would be there for new visitors but us vets would have something new too.
