If you're referring to the tombstones on the hill - aren't those only blank tombstones, by the look of them? But, well, at least they have a possible spot to place the old ones.
I agree with mindflipper that it'll be more interesting to view the new tombs closer up, but by the look of those pictures, they won't be too bad...

I like the fact the Sea Captain is getting a tomb, especially after his version of the HM never made it off the drawing board.

That looks like so much fun. I love it!
I've always been sad by how forgotten the graveyard at the exit is. The kids and I love looking for Mr. Toad when we come out. Maybe the new crypt will encourage more people to stop and look.

One would hope but at the same time, I hope not. That exit area is a bottle neck as it is.

I hope it's completely done by next year. I hope that Leota's tombstone will still be around.

If that article got it right, it will be, it says in the second paragraph:
Rumor points to it all opening within the next 2-4 weeks (by the end of March)

You can also count on a report from me!!!
From the pictures, it looks like it's an extension of the current queue. Makes you wonder if you can skip it or not as the entrance and exit for the new section about to open are right next to each other. Hmmmm.

That is something I am curious about as well MadEye. I wonder if the new crypt will be like Pooh where you can choose to go through the interactive part, or skip it and go directly into the attraction. Looking forward to your upcoming report!

Last time I was at WDW MK the HM line extended long past the queue entrance. I would think one of the goals to this addition was to prevent that from happening in the future. My guess it's not optional.

Of course, they could always bring back FPs during peak season, too. Which isn't to say that I'm not thrilled about the new queue through the crypt. I like the idea. I hope the execution (pun intended) is good, too.

So WDW's Haunted Mansion did have FP at one time? I wondered about that since I believe DL's Haunted Mansion has them. If they had a FP, then it might make sense that the FP line would bypass the crypt. Hmmm, we shall see in just a few weeks I suppose!

Fastpass will not be coming back to Haunted Mansion for one reason. It didn't work.
Did you know that the former Haunted Mansion Fastpass machines are now the Toy Story (Midway) Mania Fastpass machines?

I
thought I heard the FP machine whisper "Hurry baaack, hurry baaaaaack!" when I got my fastpass at Toy Story Midway Mania

And yet...they still have the space there at the HM ready and waiting for the machines to return (I guess in case they change their minds)...
