That's exactly why I said I don't want to cause a string of comments from what I said because I did not mean it in a sexist sense. It's just my personal opinion! I NEVER said that men are better narrators than women. I didn't mean to portray that as a fact (if that's what it came across as). It is simply my personal preference. I agree with what you said. Notice I didn't say ALL male voices however. I just said A male voice. But again, it is my personal preference! It is like saying I like the color blue better than the color red! I am not forcing that statement on anyone, nor am I portraying it as fact. I was simply voicing my opinion and even added the disclaimer to my original post that I did not intend to cause extra attention to that comment! I understand completely where you are coming from and in case you were wondering, there are plenty of women's voices I would rather hear over plenty of men's voices, but IN MY PERSONAL OPINION, I think a male voice, such as Jeremy Irons' voice, is a better fit than Judi Dench's voice. That's all I was trying to say. Again, THAT IS MY PERSONAL OPINION, and it is not a sexist comment, nor is it in any way putting women in a negative light.mindflipper wrote:But wait...isn't that sexist that men are better as narrators than women? I think I would take Judi Dench as a narrator over Gilbert Gottfried...
Also to add, I have heard from several of family and friends who are women that they felt the ride was better suited to a male's voice, before I even mentioned to them that I felt that way as well!
