I did...I did !!!!! We stayed at the Grand Floridian and it was fabulous. This was back in 1989 and I remember it fondly...it was my 7th trip to WDW and my husband's first.

2010 for me! We had a great time and did some things we never did before... para-sailing was fantastic!
Re: Re:
I think at one time they did do castle weddings. Don't know if they still do or not. This might have been pre-wedding pavilion.Sleepy90 wrote:That's nice but your in the wrong place if your looking for the altar that would be at the Wedding Pavilionntgre wrote:I'm already at the entrance of Cinderella's castle.mindflipper wrote:First one to the altar wins...

That would be awesome to have the castle as your wedding backdrop!Soarin08 wrote:I think at one time they did do castle weddings. Don't know if they still do or not. This might have been pre-wedding pavilion.

I know my girlfriend and I are planning a more economical wedding just so we can save the rest of the money for an unforgettable honeymoon. We already celebrate our "going out" anniversary every April by visiting one of the nicer restaurants in the World Showcase; this year is Morocco and Restaurant Marrakesh. To me, there's nothing more romantic than holding hands and rubbing our bellies full of food as we watch the fireworks together.
We're really looking forward to our big day in the future, but I sometimes wonder if she's just marrying me for the Disney Honeymoon!

My wife and I didn't honeymoon at WDW, but we did do a Disney Cruise for our honeymoon. Also I don't know if it has been mentioned but there is a Disney honeymoon registry! The link is http://disney.honeymoonwishes.com/
It is basically like any wedding registry expect that people can put money towards your Disney Honeymoon. This is what we did and it helped pay for a big chunk of our cruise!

We didn't go on a honeymoon. Don't feel bad for us, though. When the kids are done being teenagers and taking all our stuff and eating all our food, we'll be traveling.

I honeymooned at WDW and had a great time. With the pins and the special ears, Disney really knows how to make people feel special for any occasion. And what better place to spend it!

Honeymooned there in 1985! Stayed at the Buena Vista Palace. I think we did either four or five park hopper days. That was before AK, so four or five days was enough (if there is really such a thing as "enough" when it comes to Disney days
). also drove over to Daytona Beach and spent 3 or so days.

My wife and I got married here in the UK in 2010 and went to Walt Disney World for our Honeymoon, we had such a special time, the staff (Cast members) in all the parks and restaurants were so friendly and polite!
We even delayed our Honeymoon so we could be there for the Epcot Food & Wine Festival, which was absolutely amazing!
There are so many great restaurants to go to, we went to the San Angel Inn and the Coral Reef in Epcot, Fultons Crab House in Downtown, and we also had a very memorable meal in Narcoossee's at the Grand Floridian, where we got to see the Wishes fireworks spectacular and the Electrical Water Pageant from the restaurants Verandah.
Yeah, the days may be a bit action packed at times, but that was through choice! The evenings spent strolling around Epcot tasting various food & drinks was unforgettable!
We went to Florida for 3 weeks so we could spend a relaxing week on the beach in St Pete's after staying in Disney, but after 4 days on the beach we just had to go back to Disney, so we checked into the WDW Dolphin for the last 2 nights of our Honeymoon.
I would so recommend Walt Disney World as a great place to go for a Honeymoon! The shows, Parades, Fireworks & Restaurants make this a magical place indeed!

That is great that you had such fun at WDW that you had to return on the same trip! Sounds like you had a wonderful honeymoonAnthony36 wrote:...We went to Florida for 3 weeks so we could spend a relaxing week on the beach in St Pete's after staying in Disney, but after 4 days on the beach we just had to go back to Disney, so we checked into the WDW Dolphin for the last 2 nights of our Honeymoon....
