We stayed at Old Key West (our home DVC resort). They had buses that picked up runners and spectators at 3:00 am!

Our bus also picked up at Saratoga Springs. I think the buses serve most (if not all) of the Disney Resorts.
My DW just ran the Princess Half Marathon and stayed at Shades of Green. She said she had to walk to the Polynesian to catch the bus for that race, but it doesn't have the crowds that the Marathon and Half Marathon generate (yet).

HA!! I KILL ME!!!!!!!!

You kill me too, Jacca
BTW: I fly over Chattanooga almost every week, very low altitude, in a yellow tailed Cessna 172. Do you happen to live anywhere near the Plantation or Colonial fuel pipelines?

Are you running?
It starts and finishes in the Epcot parking lot.
Here is the map....

I can tell you from being there this year that there is no quick, easy way to get to the start/finish from any resort.
Thanks kcarts,
Mindy (my DW) and I are both running. From the route in that link, looks fantastic. Didn't realize the route went through EVERY park! Thanks again!

Congrats, you two.

My DW and I hope to be there too.

The half will fill before the full, they may already both be closed. You can check online at the race site it will usually tell you at what % it's at.

What's crazy...is that I ran in the 2009 WDW Half Marathon (as well as the 2008 Half Marathon)...and it filled up by the middle of March. So...on March 15, 2008...the 2009 WDW Half Marathon was completely full. It is June 9th today and the Half is only 60% full. Amazing what the economy will do to things like this...as well as making the race larger of course. Still...I can't believe that it is only 60% full right now.
Sad thing is that I will not be able to run in this race again until my soon-to-be wife isn't teaching because she can't miss school right after coming back from the break in December.

Why don't you do it on your own that's what Joe90 is doing because I can't get time of in January either.

I might eventually...but right now...my DF would kill me if I went to WDW without her.

I was all set to run the marathon a year or so back. I figured if I signed up for a Disney marathon I would actually train to run one! But then I checked and it had already happened so I never got around to running
My brother did the in-line skating marathon a few years ago and had a blast. I have some awesome photos of him in front of the Tower of Terror...

Never say never Amy you could still do it, I am just starting out run walking at the minute (actually more walking than running but I'm sure I'll get there) maybe if we all started now we could have a subsonic members run in the future.

I am more of a bike girl. I figure why run if you can get there faster on wheels

But you are right...maybe someday...
