I agree with the folks who say that there needs to be more variety in the dining. It's kind of ironic that you have more choices at Red Lobster than you do at the Coral Reef. Also, if there could be some counter service restaurants that serve subs or some kind of healthier sandwiches, that would be good.
you know, out of the times I've been to AK, I've never quite made the connection that it IS the "shadiest" park in the world. while you are exposed in a few areas, there's more times you're in the shade. intersting thought...
and I agree with the CS restaurant serving subs and such. maybe move McDonalds out and Subway in. while I prefer the pizza place around the corner from my house a great place for subs, Subway is a good second for a deal on a healthier alternative...

I know McDonald's is leaving DLR, is it the same for WDW?

I don't believe so, at least not yet. remember that McDonald's is the corporate sponsor for Dinosaur (CTE) over at AK. and I'm sure WDW is trying to keep as many CSs as they can to reduce their costs on up-keep of the attractions.

I'd love to see a new coaster in possibly either MK or DHS?! I wonder if there's room for something like that in either one of those parks?!
It's good to wish for things though!

Aren't they planning that? IIRC, there are plans for a "kiddie coaster" for Fantasyland that takes you through the Seven Dwarves' mine (do they still call them "Dwarves"? Or is it "Vertically Atypical Men" now?) And I believe there are plans for a Monster's Inc. coaster in DHS.

Future Guy, that was funny "Vertically Atypical Men"
I'd like to see an adult coaster in MK! I think there are enough kiddie rides, or does everyone think otherwise?! And are they really going through with the Monsters coaster in DHS? I wonder where they would put that?!

In the hub, as an attempt to hide the HSM stage, which is hiding the hideous had.

It doesn't seem like there is a whole lot of room for a coaster in the hub of DHS?!

They need to work on AK and DHS more. The most likely of the choices is that they will add even more hotels, which is probably completely unneccesary but helps w/ the bottom line. Disney is in a position where it doesn't have to do much to its existing parks, although it would be great, because people go to them anyway. From a business perspective, and Disney is a business, why throw millions into making an existing park way better when the turnstyles are clicking away without the investment. Sure, they'd probably get an extra day on each of those park tickets, but in reality, with the current prices, it's generally less expensive to go to one park a day and not park hop as after X days, the park hop option's value drops off the depth chart. Example: I'm staying in WDW in November for 7 days, 8 nights. After something like 4 days on a ticket the price to add additional days drops to something like $5.00 a day (so long as not the no expiration date option). The park hop option is $50.00. We were only planning on parkhopping 2 days, and once only to eat at EPCOT a 2nd night. We decided to nix that idea when we realized what the park hop option cost. The morale? Disney profits more from having 1/2 day parks as people either invest in parkhopper and jump to a different park OR they presumably hit someplace like DTD or the Marketplace

I don't think it would be a bad idea for Disney to add another moderate resort.
Mr.ToadWildRider, were you saying that Disney should offer a 1/2 day park ticket?! I was thinking about that, we usually arrive to Disney at 3 or 4 and we never want to "waste" and entire ticket, so we usually do something else for the remainder of that day. There is an amusement park in Sandusky OH, Cedar Point and they offere "Twilight" ticket, where you pay half the fee and you go in at a certain time in the afternoon until the park closes. I think Disney could profit from something like that!!! I didn't want you to think I was taking your idea, I think that's what you meant!!! Have a great trip!!!!

What a great idea to have an evening ticket of some sort! Hey Boilerbabe, I love your countdown graphics

I have always loved the original Mickey balloons! Cool that they are using them in the new park ads on TV. Enjoy your unexpected trip. I would love one of those right about now

I think they should concentrate on upgrading what's already there. I don't mean scrapping any of the classics either, just refurbish them and add on!

if i were the president of WDW i would call in the top imagineers and tell them i want plans for a new theme park on my desk in the next year. Then when that year is up and they show me the plans i will tell them the theme of the park it will be a combination rollercoaster, villians park. Rollercoaster to outdo all the rollercoaster parks but they will have a villian theme set to them like Millafecents Mountain.
