Re: See ya Carousel (lack) of Progress!!
I think that the new attractions (except Monsters) fit into the theme fine. Buzz is very futuristic and it's a great ride! I can't complain about the placement of Stitch either, but that show is just so LAME! You are right about chili dogs not belonging in Tomorrowland, but I think the character Stitch fits fine.

Stitch's Great Escape is the absolute worst ride at any of the Disney Parks! What were they thinking with this? I completely don't understand the appeal of stitch other than he likes Elvis. This one is a total flop!
And I don't think they should get rid of the Tiki Room in WDW, they should just remove the two most obnoxious Disney characters known to man from it.

Sorry, but I think the biggest waste of space in all of Disney World is the Jungle Cruise. Outdated, boring, and unnecessary (especially with the creation of the AK park), it takes up a HUGE amount of space that could be used so much better.

Funny, my wife and I visited in February of this year and while I have been many times, it was her first trip. When I asked her what attraction she enjoyed most she said "The Jungle Cruise", at MK anyway. I think it has a lot to do with what kind of skipper you have as the ride is obviously out of date compared to many new attractions but it's classic Disney and I can't imagine them removing it. Even without the old props I would enjoy the beautiful foliage and scenery on the boat trip. Talk about a huge waste of space, the Tomorrowland Speedway is just that. If you want something removed that would be a good place to start I think.WVParkfan wrote:Sorry, but I think the biggest waste of space in all of Disney World is the Jungle Cruise. [quote="Joe90"]Stitch and Monsters are once only rides.
Pooh is, how can I put it,... poo
That really made me laugh! I voted for Pooh for the same reason as you Joe90! That attraction was not an original and just really lacks.
I know some people don't like the Swiss Family Tree, but the views are spectacular from up there and the CoP is an original, Walt invented that, it just holds a special place in my heart.
This is a fun poll!

I'm with you. I totally love Jungle Cruise, as do my daughters. We laugh at the corny jokes and I take a ton of pictures to add to the ton I arleady have. We rode the Speedway last in '01 and have not done that again. We can do that at a local amusement park anytime. When I asked her what attraction she enjoyed most she said "The Jungle Cruise", at MK anyway. ... Agreed! The first and only time I got on this ride I was extremely disappointed. Speedway was disappointing, too, - that one can go. I wish I'd gone while 20,000 Leagues and Mr. Toad's Wild Ride were still there for me to try out.MintJulepRoo wrote:Stitch's Great Escape is the absolute worst ride at any of the Disney Parks! My verdict is still out on Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor, as I haven't tried it yet. But from preliminary opinions that I got from others, I'm not in a hurry to try it anyway. Hopefully, if Wall-E is any good, they could replace Stitch with something from that film.

Like most, I think Stitch's Great Escape was a stretch to begin with.
Of course, I'll readily admit that Stitch isn't exactly my favorite Disney character. They could do so much more with that space in Tomorrowland, but I'm not sure they'll pay too much attention to the masses. Grrrrrrrrrr.........
