When I signed up with Dish Network a few years ago, I noticed that Fox News was not part of the "basic" package and I had to order more channels to receive it. It is strange that Disney does not cover the most watched cable channel, but it could just be that they don't want to spend more money for channels. They are a business and have to answer to stockholders. It's not the first time I've heard of Disney cutting costs.

Everyone needs to relax. I only watch Fox News and I just won't watch news when I'm at Disney. I get most of my news from the internet. Print and broadcast news is a dying breed anyway.

I believe the "basic" package is probaly the answer. I have sent an e-mail to WDW guest relations. Perhaps they can answer or direct me to the correct department. This is no big deal, just thought someone would know.

I hope you let us know if you get an answer. The question posed sure did create an interesting discussion!

My question is, if you're staying at a Disney resort and watching TV, why are you not frozen on the trainwreck that is the the "Top Seven Must See Attractions at Walt Disney World"? Man, that Stacey woman is so annoying and so fun to mock.

lol jumrungle!

she does grow on you, though. after the first time we saw her a bunch of years ago, ever since then it's like "awww, stacey!" since we now associate her with our vacations lol

that, and we love the background music that plays on the resort channels that show what time the parks are open until, the safety tip of the month, etc. it's songs from disney movies without the lyrics. my hubby and i call it "breakfast music" because we play it while we're eating breakfast;)

I have seen "Top Seven Must See.." a few times. I like the earlier show, "Tip For Today", I think it was called.

That's one of my favorite Disney tracks ever. So cheerful. I wish they'd bring those back and toss out the must see things...

"Mickey's my boy!" LMAO!

I never been to a Disney resort but I did see the video on Google. She is waay too chippery for comfort. I would probably watch the video if I was at the resort anyway. Also, she's in this new romance movie. Check it out.

the TV's in disney hotels are not the best. you dont really get any stations. my sister spent the evenings watching the liftime network.... not for me.... as for news The local news was about it. I would like to see better selections of stations though I dont mind getting away from "the real world" isn't that why we all go on vacation?

I never really noticed the lack of television stations while staying at WDW. I guess I get so immersed in Disney's World, the outside world melts away and i have no interest in the news. I think this is one of the reasons I LOVE going to Disney so much. It is one of the only placest I honestly leave my worries at home and I turn into a five year old all over again!!!

I go to WDW to get away from all that. Believe me....It will all be there when you get back home.

PS It should be called the Fox NOT News.

I want to know how many people go to WDW to watch TV?? Do get me wrong, I have spent a few afternoons at SPORTSZONE to watch all the games at once. I just don't ever remember watching that much TV in our room
