I've already gone to pretty great length to explain why I think an all-thrill-ride park would be a bad idea. But I will also say that I think an all-villain park (regardless of the type of attractions used) would also be a bad idea.

Seriously, the villains do not have that much appeal outside of the hard core Disney fans. They couldn't even sustain the villain character meal. If an idea can't support a single restaurant, how can a whole park be built around it?

A lot of children are scared of the villains. Families would stay away in droves.

You would have another cartoon-themed park. Except, this one would alienate much of the core Disney audience. And it wouldn't draw in non-Disney fans either as they have no investment in animated characters good or bad.

Sure, the villains have their fans. And it's good that they do things like the villains mix and mingle at the Halloween party. But investing into a permanent park dedicated to characters with such limited appeal would be a huge misstep, IMO.

I could see a place for a Disney thrill ride park, so I had to vote for the villains. The key would likely be not turning it into another Six Flags - all asphalt, no shade, boring queues, etc.

I am also of the opinion, though, that an entire theme comprised of villains could be fairly difficult to pull off in the expected, family-friendly Disney style.
To do the improbable, we first have to dream the impossible.

Yes I really think disney needs to build an additional thrill ride park. But they need to keep the disney quality in it. Such as highly themed lands and queue lines etc. To compete with Universal. If they did, Universal would not be able to keep up.

Neither one sounds good to me. Actually, rather than build a fifth park, I'd rather they spend the time and money taking care of the four parks they already have. It goes without saying that repairs/refurbs are in need across several areas, so they need to re-dedicate themselves to presenting a top-notch product across the board.

That's just my two cents.

I agree this could work as well, but they need to add more thrills with highly themed areas. That way they can compete with Universal and still have the Disney quality.

I'd like to see another attraction on the scale of Expedition Everest as much as the next guy. (In fact, I'm wearing my EE T-shirt as I type this.) But those kinds of attractions aren't cheap or easy to make. That's why they don't come around as often.

While I'm all for quality thrills. I'm more about quality in general. I'd rather have a quality attraction like Mickey's Philharmagic than just have thrill rides forced into the parks for the sake of meeting some kind of quota.

I agree with this statement, but I would like to see some extremely themed thrill rides. I think if they make one though it whould be unlike a six flags thrill ride. It should be highly set on quality and on themeing.

both ideas could work for other companies but to me they sound very un-disney

Perhaps they should make a park called Iwerks. Let the Imagineers have fun! thus if Pixar had a ride no one would complain. if they changed anything no one would miss the old. they could dismantle old rides from parks and re-assemble them here. they could re-open World of Motion...Horizons...the swan boats...that Horror film Captain EO. laugh

They should build Pixarland as the fifth park, theme the lands by movie and move all the other PIXAR rides there. I would love to go to a park themed only to PIXAR just as much as I'd love to go to a Disney parked themed only to Disney.

I think Disney needs some larger attractions like I said but very well themed so you can tell they are Disney quality, this is very important in order for Disney to spread out their diversity.

I think Night Kingdom idea is just lame. At least the villains park sounds neat, but I don't know how little kids would be able to handle it. They might get scared.

neither of those ideas sound interesting to me. Why don't they stop focusing on making new parks and fix up the existing parks, especially the older rides?

As cool as it would be to have another park...I'd also really like to see Disney refurb./add attractions to the 4 present parks, especially AK and HS.
