Andy remember that it can get cool in the fall in central Florida. You will basically need summer as well as jeans and long sleeve shirts. You will also need a light jacket. OK, OK I will stop mothering :D

foldmama: cool, I'll make a note of that :)

knedeau: Hehe, I'm hoping to be as light as possible on the way out so that I can fit in lots of goodies on the way back again ;)

addlema: Heh, you keep saying that, and I've written it down somewhere :P

Wooo! This time next week I'll be in Glasgow ready to fly to Florida a week tomorrow! :D :D :D :D

I'm guessing he didn't actually mean to eat them all at the same time.. or do they cause those symptoms anyway? :P

Please do space them out over a few days ACP :) A Coronary would look bad for Disney :)

Orangemouse, you should start a thread and tell us a little about your program and give us reports during your stay like we hope acp will. And like LionSleepsTonight did.

I am very interested in hearing about the just out of high school program.

Woo! Nearly time!

I've now got some money in $ now instead of £ to spend over there :)

Unless you need to eat cheap, I'd stay away from the Twinkies and Ding Dongs. Even if you do need to eat cheap, there are better alternatives.

Anyways...

Have a great time!

Maybe twinkies could be a once a week/month treat. You may get a belly ache from eating one if you're not used to all the refined sugar. The coronary comes from eating a LOT of them over a period of years...

I used to like Twinkies (when I was in High School), but I haven't had one in literally YEARS. Way too many calories for me! If I'm going to indulge ... I go for more quality junk (mmmm... Lindt 85% Cocoa, Dark chocolate..Very high in antioxidants! Heaven for your tastebuds!)

As Sockfire mentioned...There are MUCH Better alternatives that are tastier and/or healthier (The Dole Whip for instance). Hopefully you'll be walking a bunch as a Disney Employee.. because if you do have the Twinkies, devil dogs, etc.... you'll need that exercise to burn off the extra calories and preservatives in there....(Check out the ingredients.... the list is as long as your arm!)

Ok......... Getting off the soapbox :)

And with that, the next message I post to this forum will either be from Glasgow tomorrow evening (UK time!), or from Florida when I get there on Saturday afternoon (Florida time)..

Good luck to you! I'm really jealous, okay? So have a great time down in Florida!

We're looking forward to your posts, Andy. Lion did an incredible job of describing the time at WDW, and I'm really looking forward to your updates. Have a safe trip to Florida.

Greetings from Glasgow :)

I'm currently sitting in a hotel room near Glasgow Airport ready to catch my flight to Florida tomorrow morning at 0930. Getting more and more exciting now that the waiting is so nearly over :)

Have a nice flight! Does Disney pay for the flight, or do you have to pay for that? I've never looked into any of their programs (besides reading Lion's book aka posts of course ) , but it sounds like you're going to have an exciting time!
Drop another coin in slot and I will tell you more.

And now... Greetings from Florida :D

For the year long program, Disney pay for the flight and you pay them back a little each week from your wages, for the 2 month program I'm on we have to pay for our own.
