That's what we want to do, but we already made our FP selections for AK and can't change them to DHS.cy1229 wrote:Chuckus95 wrote:Why don't you get your advance FP reservations for DHS, then get to AK at rope drop to do the things there you want? We got to AK early on and the kids basically walked on Exp Everst three or four times in a row before the line got too long. You could do one or two of those, then pop over to Kilamanjaro Safari on standby, not wait too long, and still have time to do the shows, ITTBAB, Dinosaur, and Primeval Whirl before 2. Lunch at Flame Tree, of course.BenB wrote:Anybody see this?
This is a step in the right direction, but one of my biggest issues is the fact that, once you make your 3 selections, you are locked into those selections and cannot change to a different park. Oh well, at least this solves our dilemma for our trip at the end of May. We are going to do AK and HS in one day, and, although i know that we will not be able to get Midway Mania Fastpasses in the afternoon. I'm hoping to get ToT or RnRC. We'll see how it works.

The news came out a couple of days ago that the senior Walt Disney Co. parks executive who oversaw the development of the company's billion-dollar "MyMagic+" technology project is leaving the company.
Any guesses anyone?

News came out today that the fastpass tiers for epcot and MGM(HS).
At Epcot, Maelstrom and Character Spot move to Tier 2. Living with the Land moves to Tier 1.
At Hollywood Studios, The Great Movie Ride moves to Tier 1.

I can understand moving Maelstrom to Tier 2. Character Spot, yeah, mostly. But moving to LwtL and GRM to Tier 1?! WEIRD.Cardinals314 wrote:News came out today that the fastpass tiers for epcot and MGM(HS).

I guess I misread this before, I was thinking tier 1 was a downgrade for those attractions. Wow, yeah, that is a mystery to me as well! I wonder if they are planning on building an Olaf sand sculpture in LwtL?cy1229 wrote:I can understand moving Maelstrom to Tier 2. Character Spot, yeah, mostly. But moving to LwtL and GRM to Tier 1?! Re: MyMagic+
LwtL moving to tier 1 makes no sense to me either as it never has a line longer than 5 minutes when I am there. Maybe they are hoping to spread folks out to LwtL to relieve congestion of the tier 1 attractions during certain parts of the day.
I'm sure there's data to back up the decision.
As for Maelstrom...this makes sense because it has limited operational hours due to it being in WS. You'd hate to use a tier 1 FP on it.

Re: MyMagic+
What's really nice is that currently if you had a selection that was switched to a tier one, then you can reschedule that fast pass for another tier one. Meaning you could have two tier one passes for EPCOT or MGM(HS) if you selected them already

Are you sure the system would allow that?Cardinals314 wrote:What's really nice is that currently if you had a selection that was switched to a tier one, then you can reschedule that fast pass for another tier one. This is a small number of people, I'm guessing. Pretty doggone low percentage.Cardinals314 wrote:What's really nice is that currently if you had a selection that was switched to a tier one, then you can reschedule that fast pass for another tier one. Yeah, I wouldn't think it would be a lot of people, but I wonder if the system would allow you to have two tier 1 attractions at a time since it doesn't currently right?cy1229 wrote:This is a small number of people, I'm guessing. Considering the rumors of additional passes being added to a ticket based on resort level and the looming probability of monetization of the app, it probably can handle multiple passes of the same level.
